Controller setup?
Is it really true that i have to bind all the keys myself ? yeah im lazy and i like the controls are pre-fixed for me and i dont know what to expect from the game so i dont wanna sit around and have to think of every keybind to make.

The game looks good but im not gonna play this before that gets fixed and im not the only one with that problem as i hear others have the same.

Don't know what to tell you man, there are preset keys, but it's best if you set them yourself.
Arrow keys for movement, z-x jump attack, a-s switch items, d drop. I think I set q-w to the hotkeys, but its been a while since I used the defaults.
The more I look at all the minor niggling problems, the more I wonder where that "650% funded" went.

You guys got 6 and a half times your budget.
Did you just not USE it?
And despite being a legitimate word the wordfilter stops ♥♥♥-gling. As in "minor and annoying".
Ahaha, nice one Steam.

Cheesetoise, the vast majority of users (over 100,000) have no issues what-so-ever. That 650% went to paying our cost of living while we worked on the game full time, in which we have added to the game extensively, and are continuing to do so. Honestly, the game is comparatively bug free.

Our original budget was $5k to pay for the pro version of unity, and buy a new PC because the old one was blue screening while I wrote code. At the time we were living in a tree house in the forest, the rest of the money went toward rent, electricity and food in our new apartment.

I work on the game almost every waking moment. When I'm not writing code or fixing something, I'm thinking about it.

And as a final note, code and bugs are not something you can just throw money at and fix. It takes time, intelligence, and hard work.

This isn't some AAA company, it's just my wife and I.
Somehow I feel the community would be significntly better if these individuals left.
Setting your own controls is the best way! I hate that some games just expect me to use an xbox controller and if I don't I'm SOL. (using Dualshock 4)
How did you get your DS4 to detect? Mine doesn't seem to register. It works with big picture but not in game.

I've heard of other people having trouble with DS4's too. I was going to buy one to see what was up with them. If you've got it working, I would also like to know how :robotloveskitty:
I found a solution. http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4-To-XInput-Wrapper
This worked like a charm for me after getting it all setup.
Wow! i was fine using just the keyboard to control but with that link i set up my DS4 and just started and WOO very cool!! thanks for the link!
ya, having a controller to keyboard emulator like joy2key or motionjoy or xpadder seems like a requirement on steam overall.
Well, I'm one of the unlucky ones -- trying to set controller options just flips through them all very rapidly and doesn't let me do anything. Is there perhaps a way that the games controller set up can be read/stored in some relatively easy-to-change text file so that the few of us that have this problem can at least configure controls by opening it up in Notepad and changing some values or something?
Developers, Please, look at a theme -
Hotkeys and Game Modes! Version Tormenter is out!

There are some real problems with Custom Keys.
