Dev here! Welcome new players!
First, the two of us just wanted to extend a huge thanks to everyone that voted and helped us get an incredible 44% of the vote for the community sale! I feel so loved!

If you enjoy the game, please help support us and keep up with news on expansions etc. by following us on Twitter @RobotLovesKitty, on the Facebooks
and if you are really into it, we have a blog[robotloveskitty.tumblr.com] and also a Twitch channel[www.twitch.tv] where we stream development and test play new builds. Once in a while we host massive livestreams of other indie games too!

If you are having any issues, we'll do our best to get back to you quickly, but please bear with us, it's only the two of us!

Thanks again, and stay excellent everyone!

I grabbed the game during the sale not expecting it to work with 3D Vision at all but surprisingly it does! Not entirely without issue, but it's very playable for me. I had to turn off bump mapping because it doesn't display properly and I had to crank the depth/separation settings all the way up to 100% (from 46%) to get it to look decent in 3D, could use even more though.

I can deal with the lack of bump mapping but the lack of depth is kind of an issue, for someone that's already running at 100% (the majority of people using 3D Vision monitors) the game won't look nearly as good in 3D, as it does on my 65" screen. Is there anyway you could somehow change the 'depth' in the scene without altering how the game looks? Or perhaps a way for us to exaggerate the depth in-game via a setting?

Unfortunately no. Although I am working on an Oculus Rift version, so if we end up putting more options in with that it might be of use to you :D

3D LoD sounds awesome, can't wait to try it on the Rift, and I bet it looks great on your screen!

Picked this game up just thinking it was a cool looking rogue-like game and I gotta say, awesome, AWESOME game! I've only played it once but damn is it a blast! Love the graphics, how simple, yet beautiful they look. My wife was even "Ohhhh and Ahhhh"ing as she walked by and had to stop to watch me play.

I gotta say, great work! Had I known it was this much fun, I would have picked it up sooner at it's normal price! Keep up the great work guys and I look forward to anything you guys do down the road!

{GE} and Naps- I'm glad you are liking the game!! We've got a few big updates to put in (A pet system and unlockable Classes) and we've already got a bunch of ideas for possible new games, so thanks for the encouraging words!

I'm enjoying it so far...I just wish Online Multiplayer could've been done, sadly I saw the other thread where you guys said it wasn't met in kickstart goals and would require rebuilding the whole game(Assuming you looked into both centralized servers and peer to peer) - I got a couple folks I play alot of these kinda games with, we've gone through recent ones like Castle Crashers and Forced and were going to do this too but then noticed Local only...I still bought it though cuz it looked fun anyways =P

Glad y'all are looking into it for the sequel though, should be interesting to see ;D Only suggestion I have is MAYBE an extra door coloring to show which doors you've been through so yer not going in circles or have to memorize a temporary map, all dem braincells gone to waste yo. lol

Doors get subtly purpler the more you use them :)

I just purchased the game and downloaded it all excited to play it. When I launched it I changed it to fullscreen, to my resolution (1920x1080), and set up my controls. When I got into the game itself all I see is one character (the guy in white) and then the words saying go into the tavern but everything is black. I saw screenshots of the game and I know this is obviously a bug so I am wondering if you could help me figure out what to do? Thanks for your time. :)

This probably means you have an Intel Graphics 4000 chipset.

Some people have had luck updating their drivers. If all else fails, turn off Bumpmapping in the options and that should make it at least playable.

I'm loving it way more than I expected. I'm really just dipping my toe in the Rogue-like waters since the idea of perma-death generally annoys me. Rogue Legacy was my first game I got into because I felt like I was progressing at least with each death. Here I was afraid I'd die angrily and not want to play any more.

That certainly hasn't been the case. I've played three full runs today already and nearly jumped into a 4th (I died embarassingly in a pit of lava while equipped with an INSANE Giant Sword that allowed me to mow down some boss-like dudes... wasn't sure I could go out like that) before I decided I should hit the forums then bed.

Great job with the game!

Bought it in the sale along with copies for my friends. We already knew the game didn't include online co-op however we are all still having a blast on this game. It's fantastic. Keep up the work & updates Devs!

@ Norman.S- Thanks so much, and I'm glad your friends are all playing too! Are you comparing scores on game seeds and stuff to sort of "play" together? It's one of the reasons we put it in, so I'm just curious if it's being used that way at all. ^__^

@I'm Abe- That's awesome! I'm glad the permadeath didn't upset you, we put a bit of effort into making it ..almost fun? I hope you keep enjoying the game, and that it gets you more into roguelikes! Legend of Dungeon is actually strongly based off of the original Rogue (where the term Roguelike comes from) so I hope you give other hardcore games like ours a chance!

Enjoy your countless inevitable deaths guys!

hehe...i too bought the game on the flash sale and am also enjoying it quite a bit. i also found out the hard way that you cannot go afk after you clear a room. :( i was on my deepest level yet and my 2-1/2 yr old daughter needed my attention...well...i came back to the high score list... DOH!

the game is a perfect fit for those small moments i can sneak some gaming in while my daughter is content painting or something.

Hi Devs! New player here, played just three time. And I very much like the game, even if it is so hardcore that you cannot save. It remind me of the time that I was playing silly games that I was reaching high score and I couldn't leave them behind for going eating because, I NEEDED to be there ready to fight! :D

My sugesstions on the game:
1) Using keyboards: switching weapons without a proper inventory or check the weapons and the hats. It is quite not easy. It is kind of even troublesome to switch between weapons (I don't even still understand how to make the hotkeys works... many things are not so clear, even the stats reading it is not clear to me. Sometimes some hats look like they have no stats at all, and it confuse me, because maybe you implemented because they look just silly.)
2) The dungeon modes: seed, daily etc... need a description. If I didn't use the forum I wouldn't have never guessed what they where.
3) Maybe put ever tot level a safe area where we can go to the toilet without the risk of losing our character? Like a sanctuary where simply nothing happen, but you can leave the character there safe to just go away from the game. Or just a pause. I am happy to not have a save system, but a pause I think that it is required. You don't want your players ♥♥♥♥ themselves? :D :P
4) I loved the tavern space, literally LOVED IT. It would be amazing to implement more (non fighting areas) before entering the level, where it is fun just to interact with stuff. I sincerely want to interact more with the character with the tavern. Or just have a peak at the world outside. If you have time and will, I would love to see more of that.

Still discovering all the things about the dungeon, like some levers are not very clear to me what they actually effect on the whole dungeon, or only the level. Or why they affect things in a certain way.
