Is it because the target for online mp wasnt reached in the kickstarter project? Perhaps starting up another kickstarter specifically for multiplayer would be a good idea? I bet a bunch of people would pay for that extra...
Upsilon or Neverdaunt: 8bit?
My best guess would be both?
AGREED. As I'm sure all would.
First of all - you need some remote desktop software. Windows shuold have one built-in, but I've used TeamViewer (free for non-comercial use). I don't know how many players it can handle, but was sufficient to run multiplayer game on two computers in same room ;) You just have to install it (on both PCs), connect second to first, run game and configure controls (each player have to use different keys, because keyboard is shared).
But... It streams video, so it generates lag. Don't know how painful can it be - I haven't played it, just tested. However, this may help to reduce delay:
- reducing screen resolution on host,
- reducing color depth and video quality on client (in TeamViewer, while connected, options to control these can be found in that grey bar at top).
If anyone will dare to play with use of this method, let me know how it works :D
Really love this game, enjoyed it since it was early access and before it came to steam! :)
