What would one need, if you wanted to open and have a look at the source code :P ?

You're doing some good work here. I have been waiting for a Wolf 3D source port of the same quality as ZDoom for years and you've delivered it. Thanks.

I take it planet strike's source code is pretty much the same as Aliens of Gold?

Dave said the source code to Aliens of Gold was lost. However, there are strings in the source code that reference Aliens of Gold.

Well this is pretty cool. I was just trying out Planet Strike, and it's pretty fun. Looking forward to the new ROTT obviously.

EDIT: ECWolf is great as well.

Just hope ECWolf sometime does get ROTT support soon,at this point even a beta of it would still be better then WinROTT with how it just barely functions.

> 2.x will include support for Noah's Ark and Mac Wolfenstein (and will also mark the point where mod compatibility is kept and the z-axis is implemented). In the mean time "ECBlake" will be released on a separate schedule just to get a Blake Stone port out asap. ECWolf 3.x will when the ECBlake stuff gets merged into the main development tree. (The 2.x line will probably be fairly short lived.)

> From there on isn't as clear. Depending on how reverse engineering goes ECWolf 4.x will probably feature Corridor 7, 5.x Operation Body Count, and 6.x for Rise of the Triad. But nothing is set in stone here. It is very possible that ROTT support could come into the 4.x slot, but it depends on a lot of things that I can't forsee at the moment.

are there some ports in progress for this one? just curious...

Whoa whoa wait. ECWolf is gonna support Corridor 7 too?

Skewer me all you want but Corridor 7 was fun. Gonna be pretty awesome if it eventually supports all that all at once.

It'll be years before there's a fully playable Blake Stone port though. It was for many years that those various Wolf3D ports couldn't even complete the game properly.

I don't know about years. I'm thinking about a year.
