pros: multiple conversation choices, main story has a ton of content (can be a bit convoluted, full of plot twists & conspiracies), side quests are interesting to do, many interesting characters (except pritchard), multiple routes to approach an objective, multiple endings, a lot of objects in the world are interactable & plenty of things to hack, hacking mini game is a mix of skill & luck, expansive quest hubs, multiple skill upgrades & weapon selection (lethal & non-lethal), epic soundtrack, director's cut offers extras on the main menu
cons: frame rate drops especially when loading map sections, clunky movement & controls, graphical glitches & instability (ive experienced several crashes), I couldn't complete a quest because the npc bugged out (I had to leave the instance & return so the npc could reset), im supposedly augmented but I can't sprint longer than 2 seconds, awkward animation every time you do a melee takedown, map display is unhelpful especially when trying to navigate higher & lower levels, a lot of missions have you backtrack through long distances, low res skyboxes, boss battles are tedious & uninteresting, terrible execution of the final game objective
Overall, this game is a complete rpg/fps experience with 20+ hours of content to offer. I suggest trying to hack as much as possible to gain all the bonuses. Eidos Montreal can't for the life of them create a map display that is easy to understand & navigate, they should outsource mapping to a different studio imo. This game to me was a worthwhile experience from start to finish, which I never asked for this.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Directors Cut has my recommendation.
