stutters, glitches, crashes and now game breaking sound bug
this so called "Director's Cut" is a horrible parody of the meaning of that word. either that or the director's vision for this game is...a very special one
after the usual crashes and hick ups a lot of people explained in other threads I experienced a game breaking bug that destroys immersion and gameplay utterly:
after leaving the LIMB clinic in China the sound begins to stutter, dialogue audio + subtitles(!) disappear completely. after reloading the zone the sound stutter is gone but also dialogues and subtitles won`t come back. no matter which save I load, this "bug" appears every time.
I expected a polished experience with this game but I can`t remember buying a piece of software from Steam that made me as angry as this one.
I`m not impressed...

i was fighting that Hengsha LIMB glitch by restarting game. save after exiting clinic, restart game, load and everything is ok again.

The thread is older, but I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. Does anyone have a fix for this? Restarting the game and loading an older savegame doesn't work for me. :-/

game was abandoned long ago with support so there isn't any fix for the sound glitch when leaving the lmb clinic. The only thing you can do is run and leave the area until the sound glitch disappears when you enter a new area, then re-enter. Its very annoying, has been around forever, and I never found any sort of fix for it. It stops you from having conversations for quests and such, very annoying.

So just go leave the area until the glitch disappears when you enter a new area then re-enter and continue. Nothing else to do sadly.
I can confirm that the old version has much better perfomance. The DC was so bad i stopped playing it after 2h and switched to my old Augmented Edition.

yeah, sorry everyone checking the forums for solutions to these problems. we're in the same boat as you, since release day and SE reps said they were collecting our reports and even said a patch was finished and waiting for Intel second-screen technology (an advertised feature that never came) but then we never heard anything more.
