I'm not sure if it's just my crappy machine, but this game is incredibly buggy. I never played the NES game, meaning I wasn't hooked on the nostalgia, and I never watched the show, so I had to look up a lot of the stuff here. Much like the NES game, I often get a flickering effect with the characters as their sprites appear and disappear whenever a certain number of details are on-screen. On top of that, there's the lag. Oh sweet lord, the lag. I haven't had a game run at 2 FPS since I tried playing TF2 at max settings. As far as sound goes, I think the guys at WayForward did a decent job modernizing the songs from the original, except at the title screen. As far as I could tell, the basic gameplay was faithful to the original, but as I mentioned before, it got really laggy. Oh, and did I mention that it no longer works on my pc, thanks to a game-breaking glitch that crashes the game randomly during boss battles and whenever I leave the pause menu? Wasn't worth the $14.99 just got a glitchy nostalgia-fest. If you're into "remastered" games that try to be nostalgic for nostalgia's sake, then you'll love this. Lord knows I didn't.
P.S.: I have nothing against WayForward, I just don't like this game.
