Computer shuts down?!?!
As for today, I tried to play the game 3 times and 3 times I got a complete computer shut down just after few minutes into the game, anyone experiencing this as well? I'm very worried because it could be an hardware problem. So far, I'm playing an Ironman/easy set up and I just finished the earliest quests in Mexico.

I don't think a game could do that. Check your case fans and make sure they're cooling your computer. Many times, overheating will cause a computer to shut down. Also make sure you don't have any updates going or anything.

Sounds like a RAM or video card problem, this happened to me quite a bit. Not with this game in particular, but I had some serious memory issues due to bad RAM chips.

I just got the game, just had the same problem. I hadn't saved yet, had just passed the first battle.

The game autosaves when you camp, so you shouldn't have lost too much progress (Besides the outcome of the battle, in case you didn't camp afterward).

It happened again. My computer seems to shut-down at random times with this game. I've only had it a short while with 2 hours play-time. I have started saving in the first village.

Great rpg btw ...really like this kind of battle/party system.

Could you post your specs, btw? Also, you can try lowering the texture quality.

If you suspect high temps to be causing this, try downloading HWiNFO. It is a free program that monitors various aspects of your PC, including temperature. Hopefully your CPU/GPU isn't overheating (you can go to the website of the maker of your video card should have a maximum temperature value for you).

problem solved.
It was related to high temperature. Sadly the fan bracket broke one of the two buds and the Heatsink was dislodge. So as soon as the CPU was reaching over 65 C the computer used to shut down. I use btw SpeedFan.

Even better I decided to upgrade motehrboard and CPU, plus 8G RAM, so now I have a little monster running everything at ultra/high settings. woot woot
