Combat
Combat makes me feel angry about this game. Cover doesn't really work, enemys just shoot through. Moving is a pain in the ♥♥♥, if you don't move one tile by another, your characters will ALLWAYS pass by enemys and get hit. Also, i am experienced with round based strategy games, even on normal i allways have to save before a combat.

In my experience, cover helps quite a lot. Anything less than full cover obviously isn't a 100% thing, but it makes a pretty big difference.

Moving is tricky, but that's just common sense, you don't go running, oblivious to everything, through a live battlefield. Sometimes the game derps around a little (between two equally long paths, the default one will make you go through a tile that's threatened instead of one that isn't), so there could be some polish there, but it's not dramatic.

It may not seem that way at first, but traps and barricades are practically a necessity and will drastically change the difficulty of any individual battle.

The thing that bothers me about combat is that it's pointless, you get no xp or items from killing enemies, so you're just as well to skip it whenever it occurs.

Gorebane: Whether you win or lose changes the course of events, which in turn can change what physical rewards you obtain (apart from changing the whole story, of course). Additionally, if you win, you'll probably have less wounded followers, so you have to spend less medicine on getting them healthy again.
