Sequel?
I really enjoyed this game, I mean it had some amazing moments dispite some small flaws. But now I'm just wandering if there will be a sequel. I would love to see a new setting, preferably somewhere in the East, like India. The story could be much more intresting, be something like: You are an English official sent to a colony in India to check on the trading but when you get there you find out that everything was destoried by pirates. So then you start your quest in finding the pirates, and here will be the cool part, choosing which side you want to take, join another pirate group to defeat the other pirates, join the other colonies or join the natives. This could bring more unique stories and gameplay experiences.
And another thing that could be added would be better town roaming, although the one here was good most of the cities felt empty with just a market and a main building. But this time there could be other cititzens, some who just salute you while others seek your help and some even want to hunt you down.
These are my ideas, I'm aware that they would require much more programming but the result would be a real sequel, one which was better than the original.

What do you want to see in the next installment?

Last I heard they wanted to continue the Expeditions series, but they're currently working on another title.

They barely got enough funding to make Conquistador in the first place, which might be why the game, while good, hasn't been able to reach anywhere near its potential. Perhaps if the Expeditions series becomes successful in the future, and they have budget, they could create an advanced edition DLC of Conquistador with all the bells and whistles it deserves.

History is rich with settings. With this type of game they could do pretty much anything as long as it stays within the theme of an "Expedition".

It could be an epic-scale story with a large number of expedition members and a rich cultural civilization in the target lands, with multiple world powers invoved in the conflict... or it could focus more on the conflicts within the expedition group itself, with no opposing civilization (settlement). It could even be a super-low-scale story with, say, a prehistoric nomadic tribe passing through hostile lands (enemy tribes, predatory animals, natural obstacles), convinced that they will find some sort of paradise beyond them.

Whatever the scale of the project or its setting, I'm looking forward to it.

I know the devs are currently working on a spy game and they said after releasing it they were going to go back to working on expeditions.

I don't like online multiplayer, just because I like squad games doesn't mean I'm good at them.

i think you might know the usual suspects, but i want to admit blackguards.

was expeditions a kickstarter project?
i sure feel some technical flaws and i dislike the reading but, for a budget title in particular, its awesome :D

Yeah it was a kickstarter.

It did really well considering it just barely reached it's goal because not many people noticed it.

I've just found about this game very recently and all I can say is that I've almost missed a terrific game. So spread the word to your fellow gamers who may enjoy this particular blend of RPG and turn based tactics.

And I enjoy having things to read in game. It reminds me off all the adventure game books I used to read when I was a kid. ;)

well the banner saga is a singleplayer game, factions is its multiplayer counterpart.

blaze try the new versions of shadow run if you are looking for squad based, also, if xenonaughts ever gets finished u might pick that up...but on that one i would wait till its finished, they r having a hell of a time stablizing there versions and getting the combat balance right.
