Has This Game Met its Financial Goals?
I know this may seem kind of personal, but I really enjoyed this game. It didn't really make as much of an impact on the gaming community as I would've liked, though. Was this game a success to the developers or is it still working at it's goals?

By the way, this game was a history lovers dream game and I'm proud to have played it. Even after beating it 6 months ago it left an impact that hasn't changed.

I'm also wondering this. This game is amazing well done yet I had never heard of it before.

Maybe it wasn't advertised too much.

One thing that might make this game more well known is if it was updated with a little bit of free content to make it to the front page of Steam under "Recently Updated" games.

From what people have been saying there is going to be another Expeditions game.

A sequel is just what this game needs really. Nothing brings an original to light like a sequel.

I don't think they've released any financial data, but this game was funded (narrowly) on Kickstarter, so a good deal of the development cost was already covered when the game was released. At the very least, the company still has enough money to operate, since they're working on another game now.

I'd absolutely love to see more from the devs. It can be tough for any studio, especially a new one, to make their first game a great success or even make their money back on it plus a bit of profit. I can't say what the devs' financial situation is, since I am not privy to that as you might imagine, but all the same, it's always nice to see a new studio's first game actually do well enough to warrant a sequel in the eyes of their fans.

Having just finished the game myself, I can safely say that I'm more than interested in seeing another Expeditions game. I found myself almost addicted to it for the time that I was playing it, always saying "one last mission, then I'll get some sleep." since the start of the game. Next thing I know, it's 3 AM a few days down the line and I've won! I really hope to see these guys do well.

Our producer Ali punches me every time I give out any financial information, but I can say that it met sales expectations and sold nicely enough to justify a sequel. We started a completely different game before Conquistador was even out, because we needed to keep the studio going and we didn't know if Conq would merit a sequel yet at that point, but if we survive the development of Clandestine, we'll definitely be on to the next Expeditions game - we've already built a prototype :)

Wow! Jonas, this is really great information. I can't appreciate it enough. I was a massive fan of Expeditions: Conquistador and it feels really good to get some closure along with something great to look forward to. Thank you for taking the time to share this great news for me and a lot of others out there who love this game just as much as I do.

Really hope the sequel makes it! Conquistador is brilliant.

I was wondering about the sales myself for a while now. This is really good news :) Can't over emphasise how great I thought this game was, I really hope the sequel gets the recognition this one deserved! Will he punch you if you give us some details on what the theme/setting is for the next one? :p

Looking forward to Clandestine too!

I will punch myself if I give out any information about the theme or setting for the sequel at this point ;)

But you may not have to wait much longer...

Well that was expected, worth trying though.

It's really great to hear that there will be another one though! Just hoping for day 1 Linux support or I'll have to wait even longer. Can't wait to hear what it will be about :)

Wish you guys all the best!

Jonas, out of the few devs I've had the pleasure of talking to, you've definitely been the coolest out of all of them. Thank you.

A sequel?! Hell yes!

Don't die! History geek gamers should have something to look forward too.

Glad to hear it! This is easily one of the best games I bought and like many, tentatively and not really knowing much about it. Just cross your fingers etc... but it turned out to be highly enjoyable. Relaxing and tense at the same time :)
