Any mods to remove women from the game?

Holy crap shut up you sexist idiot. The EssJayDoubleJews aren't in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ plot to insert women in your games and make them "unrealistic." This game has the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fountain of youth in it, which is way more unrealistic than having women fight. It doesn't matter, it really doesn't. Women are the same as men, get over it you slime. Stop hiding your sexism behind a veil of "historical realism."

While the share of women in the "conquest of the New World" was lower than in the game, there were still many female "conquistadoras", among them:

Isabel de Castilla - Queen of Castile and main sponsor of Columbus' expedition.
Maria de Toledo y Rojas - First Vicereine of the "Americas"
Isabel Barreto - Admiral of the Navy under Philipp II
Beatriz de la Cueva - Soldier and governor of Guatemala
Ines Suarez - Lover of Pedro de Valdivia, soldier and one of the founders of Santiago de Chile
Catalina de Erauso "the lieutenant nun" - fought dressed as an infantry soldier in Chile and Peru.
Maria de Estrada - Fought during the "sad night" and the battle of Otumba against the aztecs, she justified her actions in front of Cortés, by affirming: "It's not good, my lord captain, that the Spanish women leave their husbands go to war alone. Wherever they die fighting, we will also do, and the indians must understand that we Spanish are so brave that even we Spanish women know how to fight"

The list goes on, but I think this is clarifying enough to discredit any male-only or "unrealistic" game arguments.

To the OP: I don't think there's any mods, but you can just not hire any, as all (If not, most) women seem to be able to be left out.

@RedTony; Individuals don't change the entire outcome. I don't deny there were women conquistadors, but I don't think it was a 50%/50% ratio.

It is not some SJW plot or whatever. But it is really offputting in a game that is otherwise striving to give certain atmosphere. Your team being all fill up with women is frankly pretty silly. It is not something that would happen even today, or probably in any day given the nature of the work.

It is like motorsport Manager another great game where the abundance of women is jarring and makes little sense.

The sales for this game would explode if you could get a harem ending by filling your team with only women as a male character, I guarantee it.

Wow. relax people...I'm firmly liberal in ideology and outlook, and I too wanted an all male crew for the ONLY reason that small groups of Spanish explorers tended to be primarily male. This is not something to get bent about. After seeing that women were embedded in the recruitment rosters, I was fine with having 50/50 male female lineup. But it does remove some of the "realism" from this RPG. Apparently, they let you hire loads of people with "racist" traits (weird), but they force sexual equality on the party (and I'm ok with that).

Exactly...the developers chose to be "realistic" about racism (though I would call it cultueral imperialism, as a more accurate description of the zeitgeist of the day), but somehow they felt obliged to force non-sexist rosters on the players. It's just sort of odd, where the priorities were. I'm not judging here, just noting the pattern.

Regardless, I'm still enjoying the game. I like Vikings better though. You can see how the developers evolved in a better set up in Vikings.

If you have a male conquistador, you can sometimes insult your female followers. I remember a scholar tried to make bombs or something and wound up injuring herself, a dialogue option was "I should have known better than to trust a woman to do this."

I thought sexism could have been worked neatly into the game, since you could have had the governor of the first island think you and your crew are loonies for taking women on an expedition or thinking it's foolhardy to try to help him, but hires you anyways since the situation is so dire and he can't afford to turn away any help.

I don't really mind it though, since I am a shameless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and filled my team with waifus anyways.
