The core protects you, heals you, inflicts an additional penetration damage whenever you use a skill, and if you have FULL awakening, a continued penetrating dps that damages anyone that comes near you.
Also, if you're low on HP and have a few seconds left of your awekening, you can use a special active to make the core bigger and restore even more HP, along with some MP depending on how strong the core is.
So lets say your a BM, you can wiff a Wolf Fang just for the HP and MP regen, since a wiffed Wolf Fang restores 50%MP you used to activate the skill, the core will give you bonus MP, since any special active makes the core enlarge.
Simply put, Special Actives strengthen your Nasod Core.
The stronger your Nasod core is by the time your awakening ends, the more HP and MP you recieve.
Edit: You will love your core in Gate of Darkness runs.
Shadow Step might not work sometimes either because lag or the opponent performed an attack as soon as you activated it.
Do remember that you have a limited amount of time before the shield cant take any more damage and disapears.
Lol, then don't use the core at all! Just don't awaken! Problem solved! xD
IKR! Nerf everyone except for Elsword, Raven, and Chung! LEGIT! Lol
