oh my bad lol. and some games allow alt codes. so was just asking.

You CAN use alt codes....some anyways. I don't know what ones except a couple (make sure numlock is on and type on the number pad on right of keyboard)
alt + 0174 = ®
alt + 0153 = ™
alt + 0169 = ©

Another way to do so is to find your CharMap on your computer. Choose font TIMES NEW ROMAN. Click on a symbol, click select, then click copy. Then right click your cursor where you want the symbol and click paste.

Also an additional method is to symply hold the alt key and type numbers on the number pad (again numlock ON). And see what you get. For example:
☺ ☻ ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ • ◘ ○ ◙ ♂ ♪ ♫ ☼ ► ◄ ↕ ‼ ¶ § ▬ ↨ ↑ ↓ → ← ∟ ↔ ▲ ▼ o ▐M ╝ + Ü ○ x τ Φ
