Save Game Converter for all games??
This save game converter is fantastic. Even if the game mechanics differ slightly, it's quite exciting to be able to link CK2 and EU4. It gives us centuries of history to play with.

What are the chances we could ever create a mod to link the other games?

Just imagine:

Rome > Crusader Kings 2 > Europa Universalis 4 > Victoria 2 > Hearts of Iron 3 > East vs West (?)

You know it'd be awesome.

2500 years at your fingertips. Awesome. But wouldn't it get old after you conquered Europe for the fiftieth time as your empire fell apart and was reborn? Or maybe just sitting there until you hit EU4 so you can leave Europe and conquer the world? lol

Rome > CK2 is missing a lot of time in between.

It is. But it's all we have to work with. Same with the connection to Hearts of Iron 3... it kind of assumes WW2 will happen despite the political situation.

But at the very least, is it possible this could be modded for the older games?

Eh... Rome was Terri-Bad in my opinion, and to many things changed between Pax Romana and the rise of feudal Europe, at least with Ck2-Eu4-Vikky-HoI is that the changes between Feudal Kingdoms, to the Age of Exploration to Pax Britannica and onwards to the 2nd World War are well documented and scoietal changes are much easyier to model

At the very least, would it be possible to transfer the geopolitical situation? So that all the nations are in the same place as they were in the previous game? Surely these are variables we can edit in a savegame editor?

the problem with anything coming from the classical age to post iron age & beyond was the fact that you'd see huge amounts of change with no real way too simply see that change happen in the game engine like the holding off ancient knowledge like the venerable Bede did where I come from, & what I'm actually trying too say is the barbarian invasion brought more than just death & pestilence with it it also brought new cultures, new ways off thinking & just think off it if Rome had lived on we would still be enslaved by petty dictators & you would never have seen the innovation you actually saw in the renaissance off culture & the sciences behind closed doors.

rome wont matter soon i think look in the game in think they are planing a DLC for some time before 867 in CK2 so you wont need rome seeing as romen culture is in the game and so is the hellenic religion and that makes me think we will get a DLC that takes place some time just after the fall of rome.

^Nope. Roman culture and Hellenic religion are there for ruler history. Check out the Emporors of the Byzantine Empire.

What about the sunset invasion...? If i take the savegame nearly half of Europe is aztec... will that be displayed in EU4???

I think they'll be as advanced as Europe if you import a save that had the Aztecs in CK2
