What's with the unfair pricing?
We Brits have it worse... $11.99 does NOT equal £11.99 or 11.99 euro. Even with VAT. It should be about £8.99... If you can explain this properly I wouldn't mind.

Auch, i'm kind of getting used to $1 being €1, but $1 being £1 is a bit worse...
Then again, at least you're probably getting a better deal then the people from australia/new zealand...

$13.49 -10%

Man, that's a pain. Maybe you could get your friend or someone in the States buy it and trade for spit costs. It's a promotion that quite a few buyers would end up buying double copies.

On the offical site it's £8.99 and when I bought it, it was buy one get one free. You better hurry if you want it. Also, it activates on steam.

The game is 15 canadian dollars to me. I don't see anything wrong with your pricing in comparision.

It's $14.99 and £11.99 and 10% off now. It's not equal so I don't get the point.

When I initially checked it was $11.99 to £11.99 so I got mad. I don't know if that was a mistake or not but it's fixed now. :P

and its cheaper on the mac app store?

Well I first started a thread like this... 3years ago... they say it's because of the laws. I say my salary is 10 times smaller than yours fair would be to have the games 10 times cheaper. But go to TF2outpost or steamtrades and find a trustable trader from russia or whatever to get it cheaper. I got Tomb Raider Collection for 11$ while here is around 17euros.

Also you will notice some games favor some regions, a game is 10$ in usa and 20e in europe and another game is 20$ in usa and 10e in europe...

Valve recommends pricing to devs and most indie devs don't bother making it fair. Blame Valve.
Very few indie devs actually go out of their way to make prices even more unfair.

The owner was trying to say that for any specifig game there are different prices in EU, USA, RU. For example a game is 10dollars in usa, 10euros in europe (more expensive) and equivalent of 5$ in russia for example

Yes, because that is what Valve *suggests* to developers and developers don't question this typically.
The thread starter however seems to have encountered a GBP = USD situation or just misread some numbers or had a Steam store bug.

i doubt that valve really suggests this stupidity (at least i hope so, altough i realized that the columbias finest dlc for bioshock also works 5$=5€)

the times of 1$ being near 1€ are long gone and by now even the americans should have realized that o_0
the story with the russian games is a bit different, they have only ONE company that does all the reselling there (which means the stuff that this company doesnt want to sell just isnt available at all), at least thats what i heard from my russian buddy. must either be someone from a special family or maybe someone was "granted" that right for some awesome stuff he/she did in 91 o_o

i wonder why the big companies didnt protest by now (well on the other hand i dont wonder tbh...)

cant really think of anything where complete monopolies or such weird deformations of a price would be tolerated, the gaming industry is something special here too it seems.which other industry sells stuff at one day for 50 bucks - in most cases no matter how much effort was put into the production , on the same day on a smaller page for not even half the price....and if it doesnt work its thrown out at 1/10th of the price....thats why i turned away from getting games right at release, i can be sure that every game (with some very rare exceptions like diablo2 which doesnt interest me anyway) is at half price in max 3-4 months later, if i´m lucky 2 weeks later - and that no matter if the game actually is good or interesting or not...a good game is still good after 1 or 3 or maybe even 10 years.

They realize but don't care. I heard that it is because people make more in some countries and less in others, so it is based on what they can afford.
