Easy enough for a 7 year old boy?

My son, 7, saw this and won't shut up about it. :)
I'm wondering, before I dissapoint him with getting him something that would be too hard, does anyone know if this is "kid friendly" enough for a 7 year old car loving boy?
I do have a Xbox 360 controller to use for him to race with rather than just a keyboard and mouse.
And please. no flames or "adult" cussing as I may have him read the responses here so he can see what people think.

It is easy but it's not worth the money. I've been watching gameplay videos of this garbage. It isn't even a racing game. You just push some barrels around with a car.
Get your kid something else. There are plenty of good and beautiful sidescrollers on Steam...or hell, get any other racing game for him but not this. You will regret buying this one...unless you want to scar your kid for life. It's as bad as E.T was...remember that game ?

burnout paradise is what i am talking about, great game kinda difficult (realistic) but its fine for a child to play???
