Hot Wheels: World race. Please help!

So, when I was younger, I had a game from 2003 called Hot Wheels: World race. If you've ever seen the movie on it, check it out, there's a 12 part series on YouTube, each part a part of the movie. Well, the game came out a bit later. Now, I actually have this game to this day, and I felt like I should try it again. The only problem is, My processer is too good, or not supported. This is what it says:
PROCESSOR
AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
not supported.
Hardware FAILED.
I doubt there is any way to fix this, but if there is, feel free to say it.
If you're wondering why I posted this on a completley different game, is because this game has to do with Hot Wheels. Well, obviously.

What I did to run the game (I faced the same problem):

I installed Win XP (You can also do it with Win 2000) as a virtual pc via VMware Player (a virtualisation program).
VMware is a program where you can install an operating System in a file thats on your real hard drive (like on a real PC, it's very slow but it's good enough for World Race).

Then:
1. Copy your VM onto an USB drive.
2. If you have an old Laptop with an Intel Core 2 Duo for example (like my mothers older mac) install vmware on this, copy and open the XP-VM.
3. Install Hot Wheels World Race (would recommend an ISO file) in the VM.
4. Copy the VM back onto our USB drive.
5. Put the VM on your own PC.
6. Click on the Desktop-Icon (no hardwarecheck will come up this time); Play the game.

That worked for me.

The funny and annoying Thing is, if I would install World Race inside the VM on my real PC the hardwarechek will also fail because the VM uses as a CPU the real CPU of my PC.

The other way, which I didn't testet yet, could be to by a I7-CPU from Intel, I read that on a Forum:

And before you start Hot Wheels Worldrace, you should set the Campatability Mode on Windows 98/ME or Windows 95.

I only can help you so far.
When You got it to work; just keep in mind that when you're running a game in a vm, you have to expect more or less framerate drops; in worldrace the framerate drops are not that heavy.

Damn man, didn't expect anyone to respond to this. i appreciate it. This post is quite ancient though, and i just ended up downloading a craked patched version of it. This was way back on my laptop, now i got a pretty solid gaming pc but it doesn't have a disc drive. I'm just gonna copy the cracked version's files to this one. Thanks anyways though man.
