Hell, you can play as Master chief in Left 4 Dead and I'm preeeeetty sure it's still not Halo.
Everything you just said was the opposite of true, YipYapYoup is correct. Many many games hve Workshop without it being a 'totally new game'. Also, I didn't think it was a great idea, I just thought it was something that could be inplemented to improve apon the game. Still totally an opinion.
