Recently developers finally cleaned the leaderboards, and I could finally see the #1 next to my nickname. But that cleaning just lasted a couple of days.
Just ignore them, these people, fedros, lyraull and dfarrel are just people who have nothing better to do, yes I know, is sad :S
But this happens a lot in a lot of games.

Maybe we should try to contact directly that MRIK dude and ask him another clean up:

In the case of recidivism permanent ban, simple and effective .. :)

Scoreboard is completely broken, you can even watch replays for people with insane scores and see how terribly they play.

Not much competetive scene anyway, had it for 1 week and already 280th in the world >.>

It'd probably have been more competetive if I didn't almost exclusively play the time trials when it came out. I'm still #27 on the overall board though.

Speaking of which, I moved my steam directory to another hard drive earlier this year. I fired the game up the other day and everything is locked again. :(

Even simpler they could just automatically screen out obviously imposssible scores. They could even make it so the cheaters client shows them as having their cheater scores as number one, but not anyone else that plays.

Great Idea! :)

When I see these hacked scores on the leaderboards I ask myself why these people even bought the game in the first place.

Possible that those are glitched replays and not actual gameplay. If the leaderboard hack is using some kind of in game hack, could be the replay can't reproduce what's happening.

I'm surprised they cleaned up the Leaderboard again. I quit playing months ago, but I'd learned which players were legit and how to figure out my real rank from there. Too bad some people are so pathetic they were monitoring their fake scores and reaquired them when they got deleted.

Can anyone verify that the leaderboard scores no longer update? I've improved several scores in the past few months, and my overall score has never changed.

I got bored a couple weeks ago and got the #1 on time trial short leaderboards for Big Eater and Mountain. I'm still #1. Looks to be working fine here

It seems the leaderboards themselves were updating, but my computer wasn't updating with the update. Sounds confusing, I know. I went to a SECOND computer that was running Steam, and saw that the leaderboard was updating THERE. I reinstalled Pac Man and it updated correctly. (Probably could have started a new thread here, but you all seem like nice enough people...)

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Probably not that they play terribly, but that the idle time was them modifying their score, and quickly ending the game after that to submit the score. Cheat Engine?
