56.2% is the equipment load threshold?
It's not 50% this time around?

You fastroll until 70% load. Below that there ARE breakpoints but only for how far you roll.

It doesn't work like that anymore.

The higher your percentage, the slower your stamina bar will recover stamina. The change appears to be linear.
The higher your percentage, the shorter your roll distance
If your equip load percentage is greater than 70%, your roll will be significantly slower. Up to 70%, all roll speed is the same.
If your equip load percentage is greater than %100, your walk, run, and sprint speeds become slower

Is there an ideal percentage that I should stay at? Or just generally below 70%?

The lower you go, the further you roll and your stamina regeneration will be quicker.

However, as long as you stay under 70% you will fast roll.

Depends on your fighting style.

I try to stay around 50% but that's just me.

Below 60% if possible, but it`s not terrible to go above that.

In general, below 70 is fine, the roll length isn't too much an issue, and too far of a roll can be a problem in pvp as well(over rolling for a roll backstab).

I personally keep my swordsman's equip load under 50%, with a chloranthy ring and green blossoms if I need an extra boost for evasion (sinner, lol). Gives a good balance of distance, speed, and stam regen for my build.

Do we have frames of invinsibility below a certain percentage like in the first one? I don't feel it is the case.

Agility determines i-frames now and that is dependant upon adaptability and attunement.

I usually hover around 68-69% with my Knight build as I like to tank and deal out lots of damage. EpicNameBro showed a video of the differences in roll speeds at different weights under 70 (and you can be at 70 just not 70.1%) and you can see a slight difference at each mark.
The best breakpoints are below 40% or below 60% depending on how heavily armored you prefer to run.

This reddit thread details it very well:

The second comment by DuBistKomisch gives even better statistical data on the cutoff points.

I like to stay below 30 or 40%.
