117% ?

Completed everything in the game (all treasures, all challenges - 4 stars, all achievements, besides paragon/renegade, you can't get them both in one playthrough), and I get 117% completion in the save file.

I find it really strange and a bit misleading.

I notice a lotta subtle (and some not so subtle) shots at older/other games. Dunno, old glitch from a hard video game in the past?

Oh, yes. Googled it. Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon for PSX has 117% full completion score.

The only other game I know of that maxes out at 117% completion is Spyro 3.

117% is indeed the final number. Since the game was originally an XBLA title, Xbox fans should immediately recognize the reference ;)

got only till 116% :(
found all treasures, locations, friends, completed trialswith 4 stars, got to lvl 60 and have the best equipments.
does the achievement to finish game on hard mode count as this last 1%?

@Jacuzzil, don't worry, the 'Above and Beyond' achievement is not tied to your percentage. All you have to do is make it to the end credits.

If you want the full 117%, you might be missing either an unfinished sidequest, or an unstocked shop material.

Did you get all 4-star ratings in the challenge arenas? Not sure if that counts towards the toal percentage, but it's something to check out.

i really dont know how that makes any sence. maybe compleeting the challenge lvls have something to do with it.

117% is a reference to one of the most famous original xbox titles as noogy already mentioned. Namely Halo's Masterchief John-117
To reach 117% you need every crafting material (42), every sidequest (21), all cirelian trials at 4 stars, all treasures, friends and exploration at 100% which can practically only be achieved by backtracking after learning the boost jump.
I don't think you need to be level 60, but as I was farming for the last ultimate item (not related to the completion status that is actually displayed, only a subjective sense of "got it all") that came along naturally.

Why, thank you for the praise. I may "only" have spent 20 hours playing Dust: AET, but I sure enjoyed every minute of it. When I'm fascinated by something I want to find out more about it, and found your Gamasutra postmortem a very good read. I admire you for the passion, tenacity and talent that you put into the game. Thank you again for creating it. I hope that the Elysian Tail universe will be expanded in the future. Not necessarily the near future, though. I believe you deserve some downtime pretty soon.
