Abadis Forest totally broken
You know the part where there's a high and a low path, the low path filled with slimes that stab you as you walk above? Well, when I slide into the low path and continue on to the left, as soon as I drop down one screen the game just becomes solid tealish green and the sound cuts out. I can still see the UI, still open the map and so forth, but even if I load a save the sound is still gone. What gives?

Did you try verifying the game's files through Steam? Did it do this more than once?

It does it without fail. I've verified, restarted my computer, various malware scans, nothing. I'll try updating my driver to the latest beta and update the thread if it helps. If I don't come back it's still broken.

That did it. It's kind of nuts that a game needs beta drivers to be playable, but...oh well.

Just kidding. It worked once, then I went back and it broke again.

besides verifying the files, have you tried actually reinstalling it? as in "delete local content" and "install" afterwards. Might be a corrupted file that is missed by the verification tool.
I had a problem with Call of Juarez: Gunslinger last week that was only solved after I reinstalled the game (crash on start on each launch after the first per PC boot), but not by verifying.

I worry that'll delete my save. I'm pretty far in.

I am having the exact same issue. I'll post again if I find a solution.

Hmm... odd thing. I quit and restarted the game. I had noticed the teal screen wouldn't show up when I stuck to the right wall when falling into the section, and it would only appear when I walked off the platform towards the left.

So this time, instead of walking left off the platform, I drop through it (down + A). The teal screen did not show up and I could get through the section without problems.

I just did some tests based on your information. It appears this only happens if you touch the platform jutting out from the left first. For example, start from there, drop off and then hold left so you bypass the one just below it, screen goes teal. Drop from above and miss it, hit the one below it, then proceed, screen stays fine.

Also, I could not get it to happen again after it already happened once. You have to restart the game for it to occur again.

Same issue here, your fix did work.

Same here, and yes, dropping down without touching the left platform dodges the glitch. Weird!

Doing it without touching the left doesn't always fix it. Just reload and try however until it works. Fortunately nothing super important is down there. Unfortunately the first time it happened to me, it somehow muted the sound for my entire computer. And not 0% volume muted either, just no sound from any programs or the system. Very, very bizarre bug.

I never had this problem, so I must have been lucky in my run.
However, muting all of the sound from your computer? I'd like to know how it did that...
I haven't really studied into computers and software (yet), but if I gave it a guess, could the glitch have possibly done something to overload the sound driver?

just popped up for me as well. weird. my only guess is it was a recent windows update, much like the infamous half screen on videos issue this game has
