How do you spend your upgrades?
Do you max out Attack or Fidget before investing in Defense or HP? Or do you distribute points evenly into each attribute? Even if you keep the attributes even, how do you decide which one to level next when they are all equal?

On my first playthrough, I maxed Fidget then defense, then did the 1 in each stat cycle
On this hardcore playthrough, I maxed attack then defense, and am keeping my health high enough to not get oneshot

It's not anyone's but your preference. I think it was designed to be free, but my personal strategy is to increase attack early to be taking out monsters fast, then go all fidget and minimum defense/hp.

I was curious about other people's preferences. Personally, I focus on Attack early in the game. Whenever I start getting rings that give Fidget a multiplier, I start focusing on keeping Fidget and Attack up, with minimum HP and an extra point or two in Defense. I figure, with the ability to eat food in the pause menu, who needs HP?

I keep attack maxed out, HP high and focus on Fidgy then. Every now and then I raise defense to keep it sensible in relation to the rest.

For me on Hardcore and my combat style, leveling is: 1 point in Attack, next 1p in Fidget, next lvl in Health, next lvl in Defence. And again A-F-H-D, and so on. And open all Friends on the way.

But I prefer to max out [Attack/Fidget], then leveling Health/Defence to unblock next lvls in Attack/Fidget.

well it is nice to add points in hp when you cant seem to live up to the chapter you currently are at. You should try to put points into HP. It is important, imo but for style's sake; take a bite out of the dust storm and with attack, things go uphill fast. Also, the defense end-game is nice.

On my second playthrough ("tough"), I started with Attack and Fidget, maxing it out. Then I would just add one into health and defense, and raise all 4 for them on. Basically keeping attack/fidget at max and defense/health at min.
