If you're not gonna buy it because its "furry"...

People buy games containing violence, strong language, sexual content, gambling, drugs and discrimination, but they don't when it contains furry stuff?
Makes a perfect sense.

That aspect of it never even occured to me honestly. To me it was just a great old school platformer with cute animated characters. An example of an old fashioned genre that was long overdue for a beautiful, successful game. I loved it.

This makes me think of 90s platformers on SNES and Genesis long before some subculture like furries comes to mind, personally.

But even if it were intentionally representative of that subculture... so what? Nothing about that impacts the game. Gotta love the post-2000 internet age, where everything that exists is being "shoved down people's throats" simply by virtue of existing.

So now all new video games "made in the 90's" are considered indie and cost 30 dollars? Well ♥♥♥♥ call up the 90's game devs they will make a killing. I thought we are going into the future in gaming not backwards. Well then again most of the people buying these games were born in the 90's.
Vamphaery Oct 16, 2013 @ 9:24pm
? What is the issue here? No one is saying you have to like it.

All I said is that it made me THINK of 90s platformers before anything else about its aesthetic would ever occur to me. Should I lie and say it doesn't? Never said anything about 90s platformers being "indie and 30 dollars."

Not sure what your point about the speculative age of purchasers is. Even if true, a) I was born in 1981 and I loved it, and b) if the average birth year of adopters was even as late as 1995, they'd be 18 years old.

The Real HELLCAT Oct 17, 2013 @ 12:45am
Was Sonic furry? Or his later companion Tailes?
Or Daxter? How about Clank's Ratchet?
Oh, and Starfox?

....I think I don't have to continue, do I?

It might just be that those complaining about this game being "furry" are just shocked by and afraid of actually liking it....

I'm really turned off by all the furry crap in this game but I think I will buy it anyway just to see why everyone says it's so great.

Ok, now you can go back to CoD: Dessert Eagle. :D

Exactly what Real Hellcat said. Star Fox being my biggest personal example. Dont even consider that to be a "furry" game, just memorable and styled characters.

I would only consider a game a true "furry" game if it had female furry character like Dragon's Crown (huge boobs/booty and flaunting it) to appeal to some sexual appeasement with hybrid human/animals.

It might be "furry" but it is an amazing game. Truly worth the price, the storyline, the gameplay, the characters, are all well constructed. I saw it on sale, and watched the trailer, I figured I'd give it a try. I was extremely surprise how it took be out of playing Skyrim or Rome 2. I've dumped 7 hours of play and I'm @ 40%. There are many secrets to get and the graphis are just beautiful.

lol, a bunch of animals in a game, who gives a ♥♥♥♥!? it's a good game and that all it matters, it's not like there's p*rn in the game.

Why must we drag ourselves "into the future" when in pretty much all other forms of media people are quite happy with the past? Do you only listen to music from 2013? Progress for the sake of progress is not progress.

Since when is this "lol furry" thing a thing? Should I feel old because I grew up with Bugs Bunny, An American Tail (See? Did you see what they did there??) and such other things and I didn't feel awkward when I played Dust?
I don't get it.

Well, they are missing out on an amazing opportunity then. I would say this game is fun and enjoyable. Even when I have all the achievements, I will still play this game from time to time
