Trouble Unlocking Achievements
Most of the achievements I've done have been unlocked, but a few have not unlocked. This is especially painful for me to see because I'm an " achievement wh***" (Steam was probably going to censor that anyway). I'd like to know what I did wrong, as I don't want to have to get these achievements again, or maybe a dev can help me? I have an in-game screenshot of my achievements that I got (not all got unlocked on Steam, and for some reason it doesn't show my challenge times). Maybe I got those offline and can't remember? Maybe it's because I'm on a mac? Please respond if you have a similar issue.

tl;dr - Some of my achievements didn't unlock, please help.

A few people have had trouble with that since the last update. Im sure it will be fixed soon.

There are two separate in-game achievement stats, one "global" (accessible via the main menu), the other "local" (accessible after you load a save game). Challenge times are not displayed in global stats (at least in my case), but they should be displayed in the local one.

As for some achievement not unlocked on Steam, that happened to me too. I had to start a fresh game in order to trigger them again and then they unlocked.

The funny thing about challenge times is that I have the achievement for getting all stars, but not the achievement for getting my first 4-star rating.

When I did my first 4-star rating, it was unlocked in-game, but failed to unlock on Steam. The same thing happened with Bad Therapist (where you need to bug the blacksmith's brother). I started a new casual game in a separate slot, just get those two achievements. Then I continued with my main hardcore game.

The main reason why I'm not doing that is because two of the achievements that failed to unlock are ones that take a while to get (Bopo's snow quest and completing 20 side quests).

For some reason the "Complete the game on Tough or Hardcore level" achievement doesn't unlock when I complete the game on that difficulty.

You have to play the game entirely on that difficulty setting. Changing it at the end and beating the game isn't enough.

You could actually contact Steam Support in matters like this.
Or you could be an impatient ♥♥♥♥ like me and use Steam Achievement Manager to unlock pesky achievements that refuse to work while offline.

Everything works, just a bit buggy is all. Must have more patience. After all, it's a necessary trait for an achievement hunter. :)

How? Wait nevermind, I shouldn't bother because I'll probably just get an automated response.

I despise people who use such things.

It's worth a shot, at least.

*shrugs* I don't have time to waste replaying an entire game for some crummy achievements just because I can't be online all the time. I don't have a high opinion of people who just 100% everything for the lol's either.

I remember contacting Steam support regarding broken achievements in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Their solution was "to wait for a patch". Thank you very much.

I'm a completionist, it's not for the lols, its so that I get 100% out of a game. Also for dopamine.

You misunderstood what I said. I was talking about people who use hacks to 100% the achievements when they clearly didn't earn thhem.

I'm a completionist too, even though I can't be bothered replaying something just to get a broken achievement.

Ah, I see. While we shouldn't use hacks to get achievements, it is the fault of the devs.
