Quote from an interview

"What are you working on right now? A sequel or something completely new"?

- "While I get a ton of requests for a sequel, and it’s something I’d like to do one day, my next title will be something original. It’s too early to make an announcement, but I’m excited to try some new ideas. I’ve no shortage of game concepts, and the hardest part has been trying to decide what I should do next. Even now I’m not a hundred percent sure."

i would love to link to the original article, but due to non-english language in the URL steam recognises part of it as a banned word and blocks it

The game opens up a lot of lore throughout your time playing. The five Elysian Blades, the fact there's a general and a kingdom (no doubt a king/queen who also wanted to see moonbloods wiped out or was it just the general?), and whether or not Dust returns. There's also more information I'd like to know about the nimbats and the moonbloods (considering the elder made mention of them having another name and something involving outcasts).

Sure it looks like Dust kissed the dirt when the lava kissed his face, but his blade did show up and set off to find its owner right at the end. So either Dust was resurrected and placed somewhere (makes sense, given that was how the game started), or the sword is now bound to a new master with twin souls. If Dust returns, it would be interesting if the game had a stronger 'choice and consequences' feature where he has to battle himself on whether or not to do good or evil.

So, yeah, I don't think the developers would leave us hanging, especially when there's so much potential for the Dust universe.

Don't forget the fact that Fidget becomes extremely powerful at the end. Mostly due to knicknacks Dust is wearing, but still. She could wipe out entire villages if she wanted to!
How about the mysterious darkness that was present throughout almost the entire game? Fuse was maddened by it, Tethys was enraged by it, Kane was corrupted by it. Was Gaius influenced by it? Cassius?

Darker forces are at work.
thz guys

I hope so. I dream about a longer game in the same universe, maybe with moral choices, but greater than the one we have to make about clothes.

Yes there is. The developer said it won't be his next game but it will inevitably happen at some point.

The game art in their next game will better change ... that disney-like furry thing is disgusting.

Don't take it personally, but I enjoyed a lot the game "disney-like furry" side, as you say. it's pretty different from usual graphic, in a good way for me.

Disney-like? It seemed more like anime style to me, especially in the cutscenes. Its not perfect anime you would see in TV, but I think the devs were trying to be very similar to it.

However, I will admit the wild animals (mostly in the starting area) did give off a more disney appearance, but that was it.
