I have a hard time liking this game so far...
I love games that have a style like this. And the style is really well done. It looks beautiful and cute. But it's hard. And not the 'It's a great challenge" hard. No, it's the frustrating kind of hard. Maybe I am just doing something wrong but I am failing so often to climb up ledges, get into minecarts or just use basic functions of the game. I feel like you can use the elemental powers way less times than it should be. Am I the only one?

Well no, I've heard this before. It's a difficult game I know. But once you master it, you move through the levels like a rocket. Just make sure you've mastered the tutorials and go look at some videos of players that have mastered it already. If it's still too hard, have you tried the "this is too hard for me"-mode? It gives you more energy...

Thank you! I will certainly practice more. I like the game enough to do that :)

Alright, I am through! Thank you for making this game :) It was very enjoyable once I got the hang of it.

Even though some of the achievements are bugged (For example, didn't get the one for finishing the game) But that doesn't matter to me :)

ah really? Thanks for noticing, I'll fix it asap and make sure that everyone who finishes the game, receives that achievement.

Cool, glad you've enjoyed it!

You are most certainly not the only one who believes this game is ridiculously, and at times, unacceptably hard. I just spent 2 1/2 hours trying to get the second Lost Spark in S3L4. I don't feel rewarded, I feel exhausted. When the DLC comes out and adds achievements that will only unlock when you get gold on levels, my completion rate is going to pitfall all because of dying once because of a minecart being stupid. No deaths and low timing, I've had enough of that crap in every single game I see anymore.

There are two things about this game I do enjoy.
1). I love the soundtrack. Brilliant mixings. Bravo.
2). The black ground and colored backgrounds remind me of NightSky and my respect for that game knows no bounds or limits. It is a very exceptional style of art, but with the water design and movement, even the rain in S4, it is beyond exceptional.

I can honestly say this game has killed so much of my patience and desire for replayability, but there are some aspects even my inner rage cannot destroy. I don't play the silly game "don't buy". It's the people's money and this developer can go far with this being their first step. If down the road they make a game that blows everyone away, I can at least say...okay...my $10 brought me here.

I respect your opinion, but I don't see why every game should be enjoyed by everyone. I created this game for myself in the first place, and I love hard games. It would be akward to create an easy game just like a metal band would not soften its tracks for everyone to enjoy.

The cool thing about indie games, imho, Is that you can create whatever you like yourself. Of course, it's always cool when others enjoy your game, so you tend to make a version that is playable for everyone, but does not change the core idea of the game.

If the core is too hard, and in Element4l it is, because you are not familiar with the controls, then the game will probably stay hard...

I'm still honored by all the good reviews Element4l is getting, but the too-hard remark keeps coming back in a few occasions. That should teach me a lesson when I'm developing a new game.

Anyway, thanks for your support and opinion.

This is for you QuarkCannon. This game difficult is like super meat boy, it is impossible, but after dying what it seems 5000 times you can finish the game. I feel like a god when I reached the end. That´s what is amazin about hard games. Keep it up!
