Has been posted on several other threads too many times.

I'm quite sure the dev has gotten the message.

But who cares it is important! Keep posting about how we would like spotify (or some other streaming audio service) or something else.

Audiosurf 2 needs the whole track to process it to an individual level and this streaming services do not give you one. So it is not possible and i am not sure spotify would allow it. And the Dev of Audiosurf 2 is just one peson so i would not bet on spotify integration.

P.S:

Go to the Audiosurf 2 forum at the devs website, dont post SPOTIFY PLS! here in the steam forum.

Spotify has an offline track capability that stores the track locally. No idea how it's stored or if it's encrypted in any way, but this feature was immediately the first thing I thought of when I saw that Audiosurf 2 was in development.

Spotify stores it's songs as encrypted .ogg files, unreadable by any other program.

If not Spotify, then Last.fm (even though you can use Last.fm through Spotify), please.

Im pretty sure I read in Spotify's ToS, you cannot implement Spotify into your game or app or program unless it is for non profit. Unless Audiosurf becomes 100% free, it will not meet that legal criteria.

And before you say they should make Audiosurf free; I like free as much as the next guy, but the Developer definitley deserves to get paid for the work he has done.

How about youtube? Downloading temp. the mp3 file of yt videos and everything is on the legal side^^

I like this idea, you would have to have a premium account though so the songs would be downloaded. PLEASE ADD THIS!

YouTube wouldn't work. Too many music videos out there have their stupid logo of the youtube person that uploaded at the end or beginning of the music video, so the song length's and hit box patterns in the leaderboards wouldn't be accurate.
