Do you ever look at the scoreboard and think...
"How the hell did they get that?"

Especially on Mono. Like, I hit every colour block unless it would overfill, what are these people doing?

I would guess they stealth it +clean finish. Also, sometimes hitting all the blocks will not give you the biggest score, but instead the largest combo

What we do,is we always wanna have full slotted colums before hitting a white block.
We also try to avoid overfills and have full slots again.
Stealth too,big combos,good reflexes.
Which means,we intentionally dodge some nodes so the combo doesnt just end,its kind of hard since you have to time the combo timer with the next node so you dont get it timed out.

pretty sure it goes by the md5 hash of the song, otherwise...? it'd be so exploitable to use "different versions"

If it did that, you would never see more than your own score 99.9% of the time. In other words, you metagame or you lose.
I have 4 different versions of song "Pendulum - Witchcraft". And all of them have different block generation, but all 4 in 1 scoreboard.)
