Nvidia 750m(/Optimus Switching?) Troubles
Hello. I've just recently gotten a new laptop (Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series) and it's equipped with Optimus graphics switching, between the integrated Intel 4400 (I believe) and an Nvidia 750m (EDIT: Running Win8.1). Having some trouble trying to get AS2 to run using the 750m. Previously I had an Asus g74sx with a 560m card in it and it ran just fine, obviously. But it didn't have Optimus stuff involved. So not sure if the trouble here is conflict with the 750m itself or the Optimus switching.

First time I ran AS2 it loaded up fine, but using the Intel chip. So I went into the Nvidia control panel and manually set the AS2 executable to use the Nvidia processor. Next time I started up AS2 I saw the little Nvidia gpu monitoring applet show that AS2 was indeed utilizing the 750m this time. Trouble is that the game never finishes loading now. I get a black screen for maybe 10 or so seconds and then a lovely message from Windows saying that "Audiosurf2.exe has stopped work" (or whatever the file name is, can't remember now).

I tried playing another game, Magick: Wizard Wars, to see if there was something wrong with the Nvidia card but it worked with no issues. I also manually set MWW to use the 750m through the Nvidia control panel.

Not sure where to go from here. Maybe narrowing it down to if it's a conflict with the 750m, just my 750m, or somehow Optimus related. Anybody else been able to get AS2 running on a 750m, or another card with Optimus? Thanks for any help!
