Will there be any translations for this mod?

Really? Do you know where I can get them maybe?

If you've got your Steam client set to either French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian or Spanish, MINERVA's UI and on-screen messages should automatically appear in that language.

(Serious thanks to LocWorks[www.locworks.pl] for the translations!)

So, does anyone know how to add more languages? When Minerva was released only as a mod, text strings were stored in the file "titles.txt" in subdir "scripts". Now there is no such directory.

For the Steam release, the mod apparently has been packed into a GCF. You can find GCF extractor tools (or use the appropriate Source SDK version) to extract the required files from the "..\Steam\SteamApps\minerva depot.gcf" file.

Then you need to create a folder in "..\Steam\SteamApps\<steam account name>\minerva" for the given language (eg. "metastasis_czech").

In that folder, create a "scripts" folder for the translated titles.txt (file format needs to be UTF-8), and optionally a "resource" folder if you also want to create localized UI and subtitles (the mod only uses the captioning strings, there's no actual dialog so you don't really need it) files, which should go there.
