Adam Foster made a mod for the original Half Life back in the day, like Tschuman said. After Minerva came out, he was hired by Valve and worked on Portal 2. He still works at Valve.

If you want to go even further back in time, there's Fractured[games.moria.org.uk] for Doom 2, and Segmentation Fault: Core Dumped[www.quaddicted.com] for Quake.

If you want to look further, there's probably some Half-Life stuff floating round - part of a mod I was making called 'Parallax' - and then there's the actually-released-and-everything Someplace Else[hylobatidae.org], which might make more sense to people who enjoyed MINERVA.

(I need to dig up some of the Nightwatch stuff I did too...)
