[FIX] I have no audio In-game/Cutscenes
An user has explained how he fixed his No-Sound.

I had the same problem with the cut scenes having no sound, but I fixed it.
Before I re-installed Windows 7, the cut scenes had sound. But now with the clean install, no such luck. I couldn't figure out why. I had the latest Audio and Video drivers, but still didn't work.
I tried manually installing Visual C++. but again nothing happened.
So why did it work before? Then I remembered that when I install and start a new game in Steam, they install stuff before you can start. Usually in 3 steps: installing Direct X, installing a runtime and another install (will install a new game and look at what it exactly says).
And now I have sound in the cut scenes again!
Hope some of you will find out which of the installs it specific is. I will too.

Many thanks folks! It was my missing directx and redistributable causing the issue. I loaded up Hotline Miami, let it do the first time run stuff for directx etc, and after that quit back out to Revengeance and had the audio back during cutscenes no worries :)

If you have no audio In-game(Not about cutscenes), try to update your graphics cards drivers and sound.

Can you specifie the brand of the video card?

Actually, can you tell me what Audio drivers you use and if you have them up to date?
And if you use headphones or speakers both with 7.1 or 5.1 options.

Btw there was some problem one time with other games and maybe you can help me, can you go to Windows control panel->Hardware and sound->Sound and go to properties and change the format of audio to 24bit 44100 hz? That is the current config I'm using right now, so maybe it works for you. If not, try another one, this stuff happened one time with Dead Rising 2.

Triple-posting because I can.

My friend says he uses too 24bits, but in 48k hz.

Oh awesome I'll give that a try when I get home. I'm in a similar spot, was on 8 and something wigged out with one of my drives, restored the data and did clean install of 8.1 and no sound in cut scenes.

How do you force a game to do the new installation type steps? I recently went on a bit of a binge downloading and filling up my drive and literally every one of my steam games is either downloaded or queued.. do I just need to first time play one of the games I've downloaded but not yet booted?

MGR has nothing to install since it has no REDIST folder on the game. Basically no lastest DirectX or VC redist package comes with it, you will have to install it manually.

Ive been trying to fix this issue. From reading around it seems like some directx files are not installed. Is there any way to manually add the files needed to get the cutscene audio to work. Its driving me crazy. I see 2 people have downloaded games I have not purchased and got it to work. On another thread someone posted a link to a redist installer but the link is dead. Sorry but any help is aprreciated. I just started gaming on the pc.
