WTF is wrong with Sam ?!

I just finished the main campain and was able to block almost everything(I was even blocking when I just wanted to attack!).
Now I play this DLC and I can't block for ♥♥♥♥! Sometimes he blocks but most of the time he doesn't!
Am I doing something wrong or what ?

Well he isn't Raiden, all your upgrades are gone and he does seem to have a different set of skills. Dodging seems to work fine for me, but I do agree that it is difficult to block attacks with him since you have to time it right, unlike Raiden who can block at any moment an enemy is attacking.

It's because parrying in Sam's DLC is not as forgiving as in the main campaign. Your timing needs to be more precise this time around. Dodging seems to be way to go (hello, mr senator... :D)
Also, enemies are maybe a bit faster and more aggressive - that's especially true if they are taunted.
