New Patch for MGR:R is now LIVE! (3/7/14)
A new patch for METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE went live this morning (3/7/14) to correct some of the most common issues as reported by internal teams and fans. Including:

- Fixed issue where game would crash when resolution was adjusted at certain points in the game.
- Fixed crash that would occur when no "C Drive" was found. Game no longer crashes, but saved data will not synchronize with Steam Cloud unless there is a "C Drive" on the system.
- Fixed bugs where Armstrong would not drop Repair Nanopaste and would not trigger the final QTE when framerate was set to less than 60fps.

As always, please let us know if there are any new issues that are observed after installing the patch. Thanks!

Never had any problems with this game, but nice to see support, unlike other developers *cough*crapcom*cough*

Hi, I just recently downloaded the new patch available. Playing the game now at 1680x1050i resolution i have a black border around the game in fullscreen, as before the patch it was fullscreen. Anyone else having the issue?

I have a "out of range" monitor's message in 1080p fullscreen resolution before patch. Now I have that in every resolution when I use fullscreen mode.

Is it possible for you to give Sundowner more health? The fight feels way too easy even on revengance

This, Sundownder is hands down my favorite fight as its the first boss in the game to go head to head with swords.

Sundowner can be killed way to easy if you are decent at the game, and on revengance I had to restart because I killed him to quickly to get the S ranking. The next patch should really buff Sundownder's health, as silly as that sounds.

On the topic of Sundowner, improvement of his AI should also be on the list, you don't actually have to cut his shield apart, since he'll present you with any number of opportunities to cut his back.
I think I cut into it once before he just kept making critical close combat errors, allowing me to carve him to nothing without any real effort.

Errors like, trying to actually fight, and then turning away, instead of hiding like a pansy behind his shield. Or not keeping his shield between me and him.

If I had a shield that exploded, and was my main battle mechanic/plan/strategy, I think I'd kinda use it all the time, kind of like how I'm issued a sword that cuts through everything, and... so I resolve all my problems with it..?
(Seriously, there were subweapons?)

I have the same thing at the same rez, its because the game was hardcoded for 16:9 screening, to keep the 16:10 ratio the game uses the black bars, it also happens in resident evil 4 hd, i think that they wont or cant fix it because they would have to rework the games code to support those resolutions in full screen. Also you have to use the same rez on the desktop that you use on the game otherwise it will scale the games inner resolution to it and this could be fixed more easily i think

I just lost my saved game with this patch... Please help.
I did an integrity check and nothing.
Realised that the game opened in lower resolution, windowed, not the configuration I left the game with last time I played, and that's it.
