METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE

METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE

Statistiche:
Boss fights WAY more annoying than they should be...
Only fought 3 so far of the big guys... but my GOD 2 are annoying as hell, monsoon isn't too bad but Mistral is a utter pain as your hand hurts from shaking the stick constantly thanks to all the little things that keep latching onto you and swinging the camera all over, and sundowner.. that f'er is SO annoying, it keeps saying to hit his shield in the right way so it wont explode so I do.. it breaks apart then I attack and it explodes anyway then theres the helicopter so its luck as to whether or not I can do that as it keeps shooting rockets which blow you away now and then.

Seriously these fights are testing my patience, not a challenge just REALLY annoying

1. you need to learn how to dodge as that move mistral does is completely avoidable by moving to the left or right
2. use your damn blade mode when sundowner puts his shields up
I learnt the sundowner thing though hes still damn annoying cos of the copter....

With mistral I mean the tripods swarming around, now and then they just grab onto so you need to shake them off and there doesn't seem to be a way to kill them all without leaving yourself open to mistral, except maybe using her own weapon against her.
Mistral is perhaps the easiest out of all of them .__. When attacking her, your heavy attacks will swing around and wreck the tri-pods. They are annoying, but without them the fight would be ludicrously easy.

The only one I hate with a passion is the last fight, because I'm bad at precision blade mode. I'm not sure what it is, but I can never really get it right with M+K or controller.
Sundowner's pretty fine once you remember homing rockets exist and work against helicopters. As for his shield, offensive defense sets off the explosives without hurting you.
Mistral is pretty fine if you just attack things and block. Pretty straightforward fight as long as you knock about the dwarf geckos when they're too annoying.
Ironically, Monsoon is usually considered one of the more annoying bosses.
I didn't mind monsoon as while he flys about and stops you hitting him he doesn't do stupid grabs which make you fling the stick all over and doesn't randomly explode you for a slight miss-hit.

Sundowner isn't TOO bad but even with rockets the helis come back and he generally smashes you with his shield each time you get 1 (assuming you have some left to do it anyway). And mistral.. I was trying to block and did block all her stuff but the little guys constantly kept grabbing hold of me and the stun mechanic is by far the worst thing in the game beside the camera, its so easy to get stun locked and getting out of it seems unreliable and even when you manage it its VERY painful on your hand.
I honestly don't understand how you guys found Monsoon to be easy. I've been at it for about 2 hours tonight, and only had one good streak where I got him to about 40%. It's almost unreasonable. Mistral was nothing in comparison.
I'm going through on hard and beat him first time pretty much except messing up the QTE at the end once as I'm not use to a xbox controller.

All you need to do is spam light attack attacks while moving the movement stick at him so you block all his attacks and do heavy hits when he is staggered. When he can't be hit just spam light attacks while blocking (don't know if theres a better plan but thats what I did)

When he throws stuff you just need to aim blade mode at it to destroy it before it hits you. And when he gets the big thing he throws at you just move to the far side (left or right) so you have plenty of room to run when he throws it.
You can use EMP granades to stun him and blow his head off ;-)
Also you can parry that "big rotating thing". Just stand still, do it twice and chop it into pieces
Some helps:

Mistral= Dwarf Gekkos drop repair stuff and blade mode kill them with one hit. (FC= or >100%)
Monsoon= Parry, Offensive Defence and EM Grenade. Trash that he throws when he go to magnetic mode drops EM Grenades and nanopaste(s).
Sundowner= Shoot down the copters with RPG or homing rocket and hit Sundowner from behind instead of destroying shield.

Destorying the shield for sundowner is fun though =( especially after the bugger causes so many issues with it!
I... actually didn't realize you could heal, mid-fight. That made defeating Monsoon fairly straightforward. Died twice, got the job done.

Only really hard part should be the parries during the smoke bombs, unless you're trying to play with M+K and you may have trouble with the vehicle throws. Might want to give it a break for a day and try again tomorrow, always helps me to let particularly tough boss fights in these kinds of games settle in my head for a while(sometimes >1 week) before going back again.

If you're having trouble with the part where he starts sending his hands and feet out to attack you seperate from his body, a perfect parry on them will disable them for a bit. His fight is basically just Parry: the Game, the rest is mostly just spectacle.
The final fight is the most annoying by far... tracking explosive crap that does 1/4 of your health and followed by another 1/4 if your hit... a blade mode event which is at a very awkward angle with little time to do it and happens even if you don't have and energy for blade mode results in a instant 100% of health..

Its so annoying, the epic last battle has become a tedious thing very quickly

Thank god finally managed it..l the secret seems to be you don't need a perfect match to cut the stuff that gets thrown and you get 4 nanopaste packs for it.

Well, to be fair you don't need to use Blade Mode unless you are cutting the stuff, so it's not hard to have full energy. And the game tells you when you have the blade lined up so it's not like you have to go by instinct.

I found Monsoon more difficult than that guy, at least when I ran out of grenades =P
If you fail it once though he does it again right after so you don't have any spare, really pain in the arse. It wasn't too hard when I got the knack for cutting the flying crap but it still annoyed me more than monsoon just because the fire he raises up stays for so long, plus that damn fire that explodes in lines and follows you is a real pain..

I did make it harder on myself though I guess by dodging his attacks so I could deal more damage instead of blocking, blocking is pretty easy so its possible to avoid most of the damage but doing it like that makes it take so much longer
