Full screen looks weird
If I set it to native (1080) I still get black borders. How can this be fixed?
windowed does show it right, but it's windowed...

Your monitor is 16:10/8:5 aspect ratio (which is arguably better than 16:9 for everything computer related since it's more height to it for documents, web browsing, music library lists, etc). You have to buy 16:9 (intended for movies, tv shows, game consoles, etc.) aspect ratio monitor. Or use lower resolution from MGR. MGR only supports one 16:10/8:5 resolution. This forum has a fix for using resolutions other than what game offers from the menus. Search for it using the search box,

Just remember that all the resolutions other than 16:9 are natively anamorphic in MGR. This game was made for the TVs and it only supports the resolutions the Xbox 360 version supports. That means it has almost no support for the actual expensive 16:10 computer monitors.

If you get the game to run without the black frame lines it will look stretched and kind of wrong. So pick your poison or solve the issue by using your TV with your computer or buying a 16:9 monitor. Most games these days only run in 16:9 only unless they were developed by a company for the computers from the get go.

Your native resolution is not 1080p. It's probably 1920x1200.

PS. if I wrote something that's incorrect. I'm sorry about it, and I hope that others can correct me if corrections are required.

And you're still seeing the black frame lines? Doesn't sound believable. If your monitor was 16:9, and its native resolution was 1920x1080. Then there would be no black frame lines.

Black frame lines so far have only been problem for people who have 16:10 monitor and having native resolution of 1920x1200 (or similar). That makes the monitor go to compatibility mode showing the black frame lines.

Rather post the manufacturer and model number of your monitor.

That allows me to go to manufacturer's web page to seek what kind of monitor it actually is, what screen modes it supports, and so on.

By the way do you have AMD Radeon? Have you contacted Konami's support asking about the issue?

Downlaod a program called Flawless Widescreen, that will fix your problem.

Sounds promising, thanks

Sometimes I wonder if we could actually get universal standard that suits for everybody, a middleware, or something which game developers could just integrate into their software so that users don't have to resort to solutions like these:

Just download Radeon Pro and keep it running while playing, that was the solution for me. I have a 6970 lightning :).
