As for the save games - Steam games normally save in the same place, so it's usually easy to find. The problem is that this game does not use the local system to save the data - it is saved to the server, (and seemingly only the server, as searching by timestamp shows no files are updated at the corresponding time) - so unfortunately, this will continue to happen until the profile issue is corrected. I wish I knew what was causing that.
Anyone still looking for the other Steam save files - they are here:
Open your Steam folder (installed to C:/Program Files by default) Inside the Steam folder, open the userdata folder. Now, there will normally be only one folder here - with a variable folder name, which is the number of your Steam ID. If more then one profile uses Steam on that machine, there will be more then one folder, and you will have to determine to whom each belongs. Inside you numbered folder, you will see a list of numbered folders - one for each game - named by the game ID number. The game folders are eac handled differently, some have a lot of data, some hide the saves, others don't - it all depends on the game.
"Hey suckers! We're not going to fix this game, so go buy it again on the app store, and maybe we'll fix that one.... ".
Screw these guys.
