However, that was a like a month ago. So yeah, not much managment of anything going on...
But I agree with you, all these months of awful silence, and, unfortunately, no support either... I mean I'd took their silence should we have support - sort of Minsc-alike "less talk, more fight", but no, we have no comms, and no support.
Sorry for not being here for long time, I wasn't sure it was right to start posting without actual "mod" status.
Honorable_D, Benomono,
I'm not a developer, I'm the fresh community manager of Prime World: Defenders and King's Bounty: Legions :) So yeah, feel free to ask me anything, I'll try to keep up :)
That's just mean.
Why not, if you already had contract signed, with specific date telling you when exactly is your first day on the job?
Anything? How do you feel about Anton Shipulin 4th place, and reject of Vylegzhanin-related protest?
And if you don't mind, it would be nice to know when you've been recruited. I'm kinda curious for how long we've been willingly left out of communication loop.
"Oh no! Say it is no so!" (Minsc to charname, BG2 ToB ending)
Why is that? Janitor is not part of Nival, you outsource that? Or janitor is not respectable occupation?
Or it's just second iteration misprint?
I wasn't assigned to PW:D right away. This is not my first project :)
Can't really say anything on the first two questions due to lack of information (and too much work atm to google it).
As for the date of my recruitment, I joined Nival in December and was assigned to PW:D in January (I think?..). It took longer to get my mod status than I expected, and that's why I was more of an observer.
I love BG (and Forgotten Realms overall).
Anyway, that's because it felt like you were talking about a possibility of me being a passerby janitor who found an unlocked computer :)
(And no, the cleaning staff is not in Nival, they work for their office center).
He seems pretty nice anyway, I don't mind :)
I'm really sorry you had to experience this (I mean, the darkness). I hope I can shed some light around here :)
Mind to say where you worked before? Maybe we already met somewhere else.
FINALLY! Someone ignoring Olympics. I'm afraid to go to latrine - you know, you open the lid and OLYMPIC NEWS coming from down there... Yikes. :D
So you could drop by and say hello like month ago? :)
"Sneaking mod, hidden dev", remake of old movie. Sountrack written by Miracles of Sound with cover of his "Khajit like to Sneak" hit. ;)
Well, it seems I know part of your alignment - Lawful. What about the second part? :)
You may not believe it, by sometimes janitor or any other service/maintainance personnel may be more helpful than official one. Already seen that.
Kelson, what the hell? I thought we were friends! I was planning to name my firstborn after you! :D
I'm always helpful for people asking for advice, because, well, it's every man for himself, and I kinda follow my military MO - to protect and to serve, lol. :D Someone has to do it, if devs abandoned us. ;)
And just for the record - never been abrasive. Or toxic. Or vitriol. Or caustic. Or bilious. Sorry, out of terms, need to refer my PM with bioware staff, where they accused me of all that. Pfehehe. :D
Genie mode from Alladding:
Oh, we can be friends, ride a bikes, walk in the park, play football (soccer, for our North American friends) once in a while? ;)
Well, the sooner you roll out patch and show you can walk your talk, the better.
You'll need big light for that. Surefire or something.
Yeah, why not? :)
I previously worked at Nikita.Online as a project manager of Rappelz (not sure if you heard of it though). I've worked mainly with the devs directly and with users on forums, so Steam is kinda new to me.
About the Olympics: it's even harder for me, 'cause they take place in my country =\ The news are everywhere.
I did drop by like a month ago, I got caught up in work torrent though, so I got lost, which I'm sorry for.
And no, I'm not a sneaky type :) I prefer to illuminate rather than hide in shadows.
I'm not lawful at all! More like Neutral-Good (I always wanted to be more Chaotic though, or did I?..)
You're a kind of paladin, aren't you? :)
You mean you haven't done that yet? Get to it! ;)
Some people are shy. :)
Nope, I haven't heard of Rappelz, but Nikita sounds familiar... Parkan, right? I understand, it's been decades ago, and probably plank owners already left the company, but name is familiar.
Welcome to Steam! Let me be your guide! :D
Sorry, couldn't resist. (No Avina referrals, please).
I thought Nival Red is Ukraine-based...
Can you tell us whether other team-members were hired recently, like yourself, or transfered from PW team?
Well, you finally got out of that stream, so it's nice to see you on the bank. Here, sit near firepit, dry your clothes, got this mug of warm brew. ;)
Attention grabber, eh?:)
STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM! :D
Well, depends on your duties. If you belayed them in favour of something else, then, indeed, you're chaotic. Should we have Equalizer, we could whack you with it to see if there is any additional effect. ;)
If the paladin's main virtue is to forgive, then no, even if I'm quite forgiving.
Houston, we have a problem...
Yeah, Nikita made Parkan (years ago). They're more into MMO now (mostly MMO to be honest).
Well yeah, Nival Red is Ukraine-based as far as I know, but everyone I know on this project work here in Moscow. It doesn't mean that all of PW:D team is here, but oh well.
I really can't say about other team members, because I mostly contact with producers and head of QA (and the marketing department, which I'm part of). I wasn't really "transfered" from another project, I'm just working with PW:D too now :)
Oh my, reminds me of Skyrim :3
Not really :P
I think forgiving is priest-like type of thing. Paladins are more about punching the Goodness into people :) And protecting of course.
Let me guess... Free to play MMO?
How many of there? If it's not a secret.
Any notable service record?
With PW:D too... Multitasking? :)
Eh, should I turn "grumpy old fart" mode and mumble about youth? :) Probably not, if you remember BG you probably remember IWD, or early games. Or Gothic series - was nice too.
I thought remitting is priest-like thing.
Had I punched goodness into you? :p
Buttkicking for goodness was Minsc's MO. "Feel the burning stare of my hamster and change your ways" kind of things. :)
IIRC Rangers do that too. :)
