2017 was buggy as all heck. But it was also 360 exclusive. If there was a 2017 for PC I would buy it gladly. The benefits of 2017 were the simply insane amounts of loot. The vast majority of it was junk, but you had to farm the levels until you had some decent weapons and then farm again on higher difficulty to attempt to get the best weapons.

This meant you may play the same early missions hundreds of times before you got the best stuff, and half the time the game would crash hard when you did meaning it was a waste of time.

IA sucks pretty bad. But I have hope that one day some skilled modders will make it worth bothering with.

if only 2017 was available on PC i can discuss about it...this game is adictive and i cant sop plaiyng it since i bought it... i'm thinking on buying a consolle only to play the other EDF games...hoping they port to pc in the meanwhile

They will never bother to port to the PC. They may make addons to this or even make a new EDF game that takes some of the things we miss from the good ones, but they will never port 2017. It was released as "Xbox 360 Exclusive" meaning they would have to renegotiate the contract to port it to anything. They would get more money by remaking it under a different name with a different story.

how many games was Exclusive , than after some time coming to PC topo?? many..let's do a petition and post (as i did) on their facebook page...i want mre EDF...if a xbox 360 emulator will be available i can play on that..but i don't see any emulator now..right?

The game is not popular enough to manage. MS is being a troll and demanding more money to port an existing game than to make another game that is almost identical. The dollar wins. They may make a game close enough. I will sign any reasonable petition though. :)

*Edit* No there are no emulators. MS did some tricks to the hardware that make it unreasonable to expect the same performance on a system ten times as potent. So it is unlikely to ever happen.

i know all emulators need a damn good hardware...like Ps2 emulator do..but if there is a way, let us try in our pc can handle the emulation :)) i think that a port from Xbox doesn't costs so much money and i think they can have them back shortly if they give good marketing (like they dont done with this EDFpc version...btw the port is good...except for some MP option that should be available and unfortunally they aren't ..sry bad english

2017 did release on the Playstation Vita recently with a few improvements, including online multiplayer. So, I don't think another release is out of the question.

Respectfully, I think you are misunderstanding what I am saying about Xbox 360 to PC. The Xbox 360 was designed to be all but impossible to emulate. Executing code made for a PS2 is trivial for a modern PC. But XBox 360 graphics are handled in a way that you may need hundred of CPU/GPU cycles per normal CPU/GPU cycle on the Xbox 360. It is simply not going to happen ever. Period.

well...i'm tryiong the Global defence eart (edf 2) on PCX2 emulator...i run but in a strange ways..but at least i can play t..hoping the D3 publisher hear our prays and port the 2000 series on steam too...i really hope this happen in the future
