A refund?
How can I get a refund? the game is now completly unplayable with its 5 second lag time that just popped up. Not to mention that I have to start over now after 20 hours because the save game dissapeared? Alos why do I want to start over since you still haven't fixed the FP problem? I have a max 30 out of 40 FP and a spell costing 31. My hit ratio is 68% but only one in ten land?

ahhh no you don't get a refund and it looks like you will have to wait next week for another patch, then the week after, then the week after, ................ oh well, i was suckered into buying this as well.

They need to start issuing refunds. I have not been able to play this game since release despite all of these so-called patches. Completely unacceptable.

Personally i think it's a bit odd that for the first time i just have to put the game aside and wait for what looks like a ton of patches for the game to become bearable. Perhaps designers shouldn't throw about words like "hardcore" and confuse it with "annoying" or "hardly working". Or did i make a mistake; do i have to be a hardcore fan of the game to ignore all the problems. IGN gave it a less than 3 review. And i don't really disagree with it either.

Agreed firespark, as it seems to be a trend to release broken games unto us. The consumers who pay everybody's bills cause we buy it all up. all the time.. there needs to be like a quality control committee for videogames installed into society so dev's and publishers, even indie games, are forced to release a decent, higher quality game which deserves our money and dev's and publishers can actually earn there salaries. I am willing with others to make this happen. WHAT SAY U???

Bossonova911 But when some quality control crew start to checking indie games, then indie Is no more indie aka independent :) And probably game devs will have to pay some salary for quality control couse noone would be doing that for free. I think gamers just should stop being naive and belive in trailers and devs hype on facebooks, KS etc.

Look at the big companies, they creating so much hype through media and they always have at least fair technicall quality but dont you think most of their games are boring, schematic and more and more simple in their stupidity?
Even so good hype will guarantee big sales. And it's not fault of game industry, becouse they just making games that we gamers are buying even if we complaining about casuality and other stuff. So only we can change the way game industry Is going to couse we're giving them our money. We stop buy games, they will do better ones thats how I see It. But the thing Is young generation of gamers just prefer casual and simple games instead of what we older one loved.

Interestingly enough, some people will -pay- to do quality control for games.

Some people will pay a lot of money to do it. Check out Planetary Annhiliation or look at the many games that get "sold" during their development.

Being independent doesn't mean being bad or amateur. Unfortunately, it is starting to become that. People are excusing horrible and fundamental mistakes by saying, "oh they have a small team so give them a break." My response to that is simple: if you are going to do something then do it well. The size of the time does not matter to me.

One person can accomplish a lot: Minecraft anyone?

A couple hundred people can accomplish nothing: 38 Studios?

This game was done by amateurs. That's fine 'cause everyone has to start somewhere and the price reflects it. The mistake that is being made now is to defend their practices (and mistakes) instead of owning up to them, communicating effectively about what they are going to do, and fixing them.

If this team cannot fix this game then their next one will be just as bad. They won't have learned a thing. So, I will watch to see where this game goes (if anywhere) and hopefully in time for the Winter Sale the game will be in a position of being playable and enjoyable for the majority and not the minority who are willing to overlook bugs and clunky game design.

A refund on this game would be a good step.

@nirth you are right but most of Kickstarter games, oh wait most of games at all are not that good as devs or trailers says. Sure that Planetary Annihilation looks very promising and I'm willing to buy It after release.
After release couse It still may be just an average game, that Is why every indie game should have some open alpha/beta so community can check It and help the devs. Grim Dawn Is a good example if you backed game up on KS you can play alpha and then beta to help creating the game. If LoD had an open beta then game would look completely different. I belive that.

And Minecraft...... Sure notch was able to gain milions thanks to game but It's bit different couse Minecraft was something new, refreshing and Notch had a great Idea that is why he was able to make success, becouse he gave gamers something new and knew how to do It good. LoD is just another RPG so It needed more effort to earn money on It couse we have tons of RPG similiar in some aspects to LoD.

All we need is the ability to get a REFUND and that ct alone will ensure that the video games are worthy. If we could all get our money back, and it looks like 98% wold want that, then the game developers and publishers would quickly go broke making way for real game makers to make games people can actually play after shelling out RETAIL for them.
