If anyone is still on here, why do I have to have Absolute Power installed to play Tropico 3?
I got both Absolute Power and Tropico 3 Steam edition during the sale and whenever I try to play Tropico 3 it makes me install Absolute power, does anyone know a way around that or do I have to install Absolute Power.

Despite its separate listing in your game library, Absolute Power is actually set up as DLC to the base game. So no, there isn't any way to avoid it once you buy it, but there really isn't much reason to. It adds some extra features and you can still play the original campaign.

Also, the file size listed by the expansion actually includes the base game. My library only lists the expansion as being installed, but clicking the install button on Tropico 3 simply launches the game.
