Thumbs up, though this is not a game for everyone.
My first romp in the Shadowrun universe, and damn I've been missing out. Fantasy, Sci-fi, Cyberpunk dystopia Tabletop-inspired RPG. Heck yeah!
Nothing fancy on the technical side. The combat system is based on tabletop RPGs, and although I tried almost every class in various missions I found it a little simplistic. Shame on me for making a Troll Samurai my main, I guess. The art aesthetic is very nice, but again, nothing fancy going on here.
In this game you'll do a whole lot of reading. You'll need to enjoy reading. The main campaign, Dead Man's Switch, is a simple but solid cyberpunk tale. It feels like an introduction, and I've finished it wanting more.
And there is more! The game gladly supports modding, and there's Workshop support with plenty to choose from.
And the official content continues with Dragonfall, and they've recently kickstarted a third game.
If you like tabletop RPGs and cool settings, this is a fun, low-intensity experience with pretty good immersion if you let it happen.
I found the MUSIC rather bland. Highly recommend replacing it with some suitably themed music of your own. I used: Hotline Miami soundtrack, any Perturbator soundtracks, Kavinsky, Drive soundtrack, Mass Effect soundtracks work all right, Cryo Chamber for pure ambiance.
