Dodger is drekin daisy! *rant*
The decker Dodger is SO not strong enough to complete the missions on hard or v. hard. Oh and BTW I HATE the matrix. The set up is so unimaginative. it is a floorplan with "spells" I understand budget reasons but I always dread it when I am forced to go on matrix runs. SO NOT FUN!

Dodger IS a jelly pot. Each time i played the campain (inc VH) he had to get 3es into the Matrix to clean things up.
But you haven't meet yet H and Sir TG ! :p

grim peeper is the way to go for matrix missions. But really if it was me and I got out of that mission alive I would go back to Johnny Clean and slap him, with the sharp side of my sword.

Meh Real men deck themselves and dont hire Delicate Dickens Daisy Deckers.

My essence is precious, my body Jah's creation. No deck no jerk, said Shaman Bob

The Matrix works with the game style, but I do miss the good ol' Sega Genisis style. That was my favorite part of that game. No decking for my char. Phys Ad's, need there essence.

But... but... 5 essence Shaman/Decker/Rigger. You needs your AP no longer.... cmon... it'd be fun I swear. In DMS if you do it right you can put off getting a datajack until the alpha eyes are available, just survive off magic alone till then. After that you get yourself 2 drones, a deck and some spirits fetishes, any big fight you just have a horde of minions to handle for you. I have to say personally it was my favorite playthrough.

You don't need to wait on the datajack til the alpha eyes. The game actually recalculates your total essence once you commit. Even though the interface makes you look like you'll lose another point, you don't really. Test it and you'll see.

I am loving my 5 ess spellcaster.

I swear when I tested it. I lost the extra point but, maybe they fixed it in the patch.

One thing I did notice was that although you can loose magic slots when your essense drops. You don't loose the spells you put in those slots. So in effect those spells become "frozen" with the last spell you had in them when your essense dropped. With a little pre-planning you can put the spells you always want to take in these "frozen" slots.

thats weird. i didnt had any problems completing the missions with dodger, even on hardest difficulty. Didnt try any other even, because he was the cheapest to hire.

First time I played though it he was adequate. This last time. I had to plug him back in twice once after doc wagonning his lame ♥♥♥♥.

I remember back in the opening vignette of the 1st ed Shadowrun book, Dodger actually seemed like a good character. I wonder why HBS didn't give him any lines in this.

As far as how good he is in the game, on very hard he's shiite.
