Any ETA on Berlin?
Just curious, I want a more open world type mod. I tried making it but its way too much work, I might pick it up later.

Wait, we have to buy berlin? the addon thats sposed to fix the game? Lol. Not a chance. I thought that was their way to fix their terrible game, not another half ♥♥♥♥♥ moneygrab.

It's not fixing the game; it's another campaign for it - that's all they've ever said it was. I don't know where you're getting this 'fix the game' idea from but they've only ever said that it was a second campaign for it the way the Seattle one was the first campaign. It'll be more open than the Seattle campaign, but that's it. It's not directly adding content to Dead Man's Switch.

Ever since they realised it wouldn't be ready for release (which wasn't long after the Kickstarter ended), they've been saying that it would be the first piece of DLC.

Hopefully it's included, because it's certainly feels like a demo camaign.

Backer get the berlin campaign without paying more. Well, paid and voted for berlin over a year ago, so that's at least clear. Can't await it, think it will be a great second campaign. Check out life on a limb in the meantime, seems pretty whiz.

Like AlHazard said; only ones getting it for free are Kickstarter backers and anyone who pre-ordered the collector's edition off the HBS website before the game went up on Steam.

Hehe, "free" for the low price of $60 here. ;)

I'm not complaining, mind. I'm perfectly pleased with my investment. I might even pitch in for the iOS version if they're wise enough to put it up for $9 instead of $20. Why didn't I say $10? It's amazing the psychological impact double digits has on a buyer. I think they'll win significantly more sales if they take that into account, but we'll see I guess.

EDIT: UPDATE!

HBS has been listening to feedback, and while many chummers want the Berlin DLC "soon" - more have expressed they'd rather wait for a better experience, at least as large as Dead Man's Switch. So, HBS has stated they'll put more effort in to the Berlin Campaign Expansion, but have to push the release back to around January in order to put that much development in to the second Shadowrun Returns Campaign Setting. So the new ETA is January. Patience, Chummers, patience. And while we wait, there's an ever growing pool of very enjoyable user generated content being developed, some even now considered "complete!" I suggest starting out with the following 5 very enjoyable User Generated Content downloads which are just the tip of the iceberg! ^_^

Jacked Up
LoneStar Double Indemnity
The Shadows
Trivia Night
Truth Lies in the Shadows

(old post below)
HBS's latest Kickstarter Update says they're currently developing the Berlin campaign, and they're targetting release for late October, but that's dependant on how development proceeds, so it's just a "guesstimate", not a confirmation.

You can read their Kickstarter Update for yourself here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1613260297/shadowrun-returns/posts/558330

The Berlin campaign will be a full campaign expansion pack, including new assets for the editor, and HBS has said it will play more like the Sega Genesis version of Shadowrun, be a little more open world, than the Dead Man's Switch/Seattle campaign, which was based more on the SNES version.

As has been mentioned, it's free only to Kickstarter backers as part of their rewards for backing the game, and certain Paypal pre-orders that were made directly from HBS's website at the collector's edition level, and *maybe* the deluxe edition level, though I'm not sure about that.

I hope this helps! ^_^

Hoi chummer - was wondering if you'd ever show up on here.

I'll modify the bit in the FAQ thread to include the new info.

Because it was pre-ordered on Steam it's somehow worth less to them than pre-ordering it directly from steam? Ok...
