Please Confirm a few things about this game
I was looking for a tactical roleplaying game like Jagged Alliance BIA or 7.62, Hired Guns, Xcom, Soldiers of Anarchy ete etc to tie me over. Someone suggested this game. I don't mind a cyberpunk type magik universe But from what I can tell the game camera is locked its actually isometric 2.5D. I keep trying to pan the camera like a 3D tactical game. Also combat is not really tactical, no stance changes, crawling, no scrounging for bullets.

My bad for not researching more, but just wondering am I missing some kind of customization somewhere for tactical combat, and unlock the camera pan to full rotation and zoom.

No, the camera cannot be moved around, and on some occasions this is really annoying (per ex, you can't go to the space you want but must move to 1 or 2 steps distance.
Combat is funny, but simple. Tactical comes with the combination of your mates skills and use of (limited) cover.
But lacks of what you claim for, for sure.

I won't advise you for JAO, have a look at the forum to have feedback from players, you'll get the point.

XCOM is great, but SR was made with its combat engine, so if you don't like your guys not to be able to crouch or crawl...Anyway it's a really addictive game and it's extension Enemy unknow has just been released. I recommand it !

==> Honestly, i like many things in Shadowrun Retrun, but it seems that their last patch has broken many things in both their campain the Dead man Switch and in many UGC. I myself experiment many trouble with scenes that were perfectly working before in my Module...now players give me feedback of a lot of "unexpected things" happening....
So, maybe it's better to wait for a fix (or Berlin extension in january) to buy it.

Its better to forget it happened and preserve shadowrun pristinely in your memories than associate it with this tripe.

Useless comment if you actually read the OP. He has no experience with Shadowrun. :P
