Campaign recommendations (Matrix? Character import? etc)
(edit: thread title changed)

Just finished DMS for the first time, still keen to play more SR, and I really like where my character got to - I'm wondering if there are any good campaigns out there with character import? Want to keep playing as this guy a little longer :) I had a quick look on SR Nexus but all the descriptions I read said "for new characters" or didn't specify.

Ah, I've just started browsing on Steam workshop and noticed the 'character import' check box. Would still like to hear people's thoughts though :)

I have been playing a lot of UGC over break and even had time to make a spreadsheet of all the content. For post DMS play your looking at a character who is 200+ karma.

UGC made specifically for the DMS character are
Payback is a SlitchThe Daily Life of a Shadowrunner
Under Siege
The Deep One

other 200+ karama UGC content includes
Darkness Falls Trilogy
A Dark and Stormy Night
Past the Brink
Trial Run
Old Friends, New Favors
The Great Escape
Fraggin' Marvelous
The Usual Suspects
The Contracts
Too Big to Fail

not all of these are complete and some are very buggy. but if you check out the individual pages and read comments you can get a feel for them. also trying them out and helping playtest them is helpful to the creators.

A big (belated) thank-you for this, ggwaters. I've played a couple of times through DMS and have two characters I enjoyed using. This gives me plenty more to do with them :) One is a decker/rigger, one is a melee/mage, I'll see if I can gauge which UGC will work well for them.

Thanks again for the list, gonna play one now.

EDIT: Actually, after the scarcity of Matrix sections in DMS, I'll ask: does anyone know of campaigns that are paricularly good or bad for deckers? I really liked playing my decker/rigger, but real decking was rare - doubt I would have enjoyed a pure decker.

Just to add to the list above, I've played Assault on Cesh Coran Labs and enjoyed it a fair bit. Perhaps a tad too easy for 200+ characters, so maybe try the final section with less than a full team.

OK, another question for the veterans: any UGC with Matrix content? (new char or import, doesn't matter)

Carrying a deck in one slot, hoping for a jack point that never appears when I could be packing an extra drone or weapon is getting very old. It would be nice to know in advance whether to go equipped for decking or combat, or if a campaign is better suited to one of my other characters. I've even played a couple of UGCs which have cyberdeck vendors, but no Matrix sections :? Is there a reason to do that?

I'll start...

These do have Matrix sections:
-Stuffer Shack
-The Deep One
-Fraggin' Marvellous

I wouldn't mind compiling this info into a handy guide sometime, unless there's already one out there.

Oh yep I've got a game of Unlimited underway, I've found it a lot harder than anything else so far, so I'm taking it very slow. Not using a decker there, but I see decker missions on offer frequently.
