There a point to a non chi casting melee?
Just curious, I did a pure melee shadowrunner and he seems way more weaker than my chi casting one.

purely from a roleplay perspective non-chi is cool. I made a Spike Spiegel type character. but unfortunatley hindered in regards to gameplay, which unfortunately is all about number crunching.

Non Chi brawler should have access to special attacks. Did you use those?

Or when you mention melee, you mean with swords and such?

Cause chi casting , had a abilities upgrade recently , they hope people would mix up chi abilities passive with cybernetics for a while (which reduces the amount of spellslots to minimum of 3 )
So more to make your street samurai .till dragon fall comes out and bring additional rules and cyberware .

the special attack to non-chi character round kick is funny. you hit multiple targets even allies. killed a team member once with round kick.

as drakehound said. i made a brawler w/ 2 passive chi...fists and magic resistance...he was very tough. watch out for chrome'n you guy too high. when I got past a certain point i lost 2nd passive and had to go back
