Beta Release 1.2.6
Beta Instructions
We have begun public beta testing for the next update. This is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL, but if you'd like to try out the latest and greatest before it's available to the rest of the world, here's how you can participate:
  • Go to Steam Library
  • Right click on Shadowrun Returns
  • Select Properties
  • Select Betas
  • Then a drop down says: "Select the beta you would like to opt into"
  • Choose: Public Beta
You should see some 'updating' traffic as Steam fetches new files for Shadowrun Returns.
If you ever want to opt out of the Public Beta and return to the normal public build that everyone else has, you can repeat the process above and choose NONE from the drop down list.

REPORTING BUGS
Before reporting a bug please read the known issues section of this post, if you are unable to find a bug listed that matches what you are experiencing then leave a comment in this thread. Include as many details about the bug including the steps you took to produce this bug.

New Features, Improvements
  • [Combat] AoE spells and abilities do not list number of people affected if the size of the aoe is a single tile.
  • [Content Pack] Added missing title to Berlin Area Environments and Tilesets content pack.
  • [Core] Adding text to explain why the main character might not be able to equip a picked up item.
  • [Debug] Additional information recorded in debug logs.
  • [New Game Menu] Add a field for supported languages for content packs.
  • [Save] Added a popup if steam is unable to save a game.
  • [Trigger] Set Actor Display Name, changes target actors name to (string).
  • [Trigger] String function: Get Actor Name, reads target actors name as a string.

Bug Fixes
  • [Character Creation] Fixing issue where elves could lose karma on character creation by cancelling in etiquette screen.
  • [Combat] Fix issue causing bugspirits to be untargetable after loading a save.
  • [Equip Screen] Fixing issue where stash items might occasionally fail a prerequisite check incorrectly.
  • [Items] Fixing issue where repair kits were usable on non-drones and would not heal drones
  • [Items] Medpacks and Repair Kits can no longer be used on a targets with full health
  • [VFX] Fixed issue causing snow to be drawn on top of fog.

Bug Fixes: Dragonfall Campaign
  • Added waypoints to side entrance in the Bloodlines mission.
  • Adjustments to balance some underused Etiquette skills.
  • Cleared up objective communication in Apex Rising mission.
  • Fixed issues where the player could advance the Bloodlines mission in a bad state.
  • Fixed issue causing optional quest to be started incorrectly in the False Flag mission.
  • Fixed an edge-case issue that could cause a conversation to start at an incorrect time in the Drug Pit mission.
  • Fixed issue that caused incorrect dialogue to trigger for a solo player in MKVI mission.
  • Fixed issue that caused incorrect dialogue to trigger for a solo player in Apex Rising mission.
  • Fixed party communication about the Loose Ends mission.
  • Improved objective messaging to Player for Alice introduction.
  • Improved objective communication in MKVI mission.
  • Improved cost communication for cup of Coffee.
  • Improved side quest completion communication for Bloodlines mission.

Bug Fixes: Dead Man's Switch Campaign
  • Fixed issue that caused IC to spawn at an incorrect time in Telestrian Industries run.

Known Issues
  • Decking Program Erosion 3 deals incorrect damage
  • Drones are not healed with Runners on scene start
  • Combat Sims are unable to be used on PCs with full health
  • Light Ley Lines not working as expected
  • Conversation in Act 3 Haven missing text expansion

I am hoping that this line:

"Improved side quest completion communication for Bloodlines mission."

Is related to opening the 'doors' from the Matrix. I don't think I have a save at that point in the game anymore, so testing this might be tricky.

Damn, Mind Wipe is still b0rken for me and does nothing.
I hope the issue gets resolved soon. Mage is the last class I haven't beaten the game with yet because of this.

It happens when you gain control of the last node to open the last of the three 'doors' to release the 'captives'.

While still in the matrix interface, I got a game message "Karma Gained: 3", but when I jacked out and checked my character, my Karma total was 0.

Blitz was my decker in this case.

Not sure if I am reading you correctly, Chummer, but I'm confused why Mind Wipe would be so critical to your ability to beat the game as a Mage?

If you would be interested in a recommendation, Blindness is probably a better option, if you are looking for one.

Past that, Mage was the first character I beat both SRR and DR with. Lots of fun, but I admit I never even tried Mind Wipe in DF because of it not working as I expected in SRR.

Im actually not totally clear on what 'Target ignores all enemies' is supposed to mean... I would imagine it means they should not be able to react to my team at all, certainly not attacking (but perhaps buffing and healing their allies). When I've used it in SRR, it didn't seem to have an affect at all.

So, I switched to Blindness.

@Lomax not having an effect at all is the bug I am talking about. ;)

It is not critical to my build, but it is the first disable target for x amount of time spell you get in Dragonfall and the bug just ruins my immersion and playstyle.

It's a small thing, but while playing 1.2.6, Dragonfall campaign, MKVI run, running around out of combat on floor 24, my drone steel lynx drone appears to sometimes pass through props.

Another small thing, which isn't a bug, but is a bit annoying: If I'm looking at one of my teammate's stats, then switch to the equipment screen, it doesn't stay on the same character, it switches back to my character. If I'm looking at Glory's stats and I switch to equipment, I'd expect to be looking at Glory's equipment.

Another thing, which isn't a bug, but would reduce some frustration: It would be nice if I could manually start combat mode. My character is a rigger/decker. There are times I'm out of combat mode, I'm at a closed door, and I know there are enemies on the other side of the door. I'd like to be able to move my character back, activate my drone, have Glory and/or Eiger at the door and one of them and/or my drone open it.

What would be REALLY neat, is if you could specify a formation for your team to move in while out of combat

I am sorry that this issue was overlooked, however if we can get information about what the issue is while 1.2.6 is in Beta we may be able to make a fix for the 1.2.6 patch. So with that in mind, can you provide the information you provided earlier about DMS Erosion again?

Erosion lv3 does the same damage as lv2 in DMS campaign. Tested with 2 characters.

Also, not sure is it bug or not, but the last time I played chloroform wasn't working in the Brotherhood kitchen, female ork cook was standing like nothing happened.

When you return to your base, either Seamstress Union or Kreusbasar, the runners are healed, but my drones are not. However, if I unequip my drones into the stash, exit stash, re-enter stash, and re-equip drones, they are back at full health. Seems like drone should return to full health when character does.

I am working my back to the Bloodline run with a new character and will reproduce the bug I reported about the Karma award. However I also wanted to ask if something I have noticed on this third playthrough is 'working as intended':

When speaking to Kami, I was expecting her conversation progression to work like all the other NPCs - by that I mean, I expected she would talk a bit, reveal some bits of her story, and then conclude the interaction, waiting until I had completed another run to give more new conversation content.

I have now seen on three different characters that after you meet her outside the coffee shop, you can just keep talking to her until her conversation progression is totally exhausted.

I am expecting this to be a bug, but I wanted to ask. I am kind of hoping this might be the reason why on my last 2 playthroughs that once I found out about Alexi and Simmy getting beat up - nothing ever came of it (because I had broken the dialogue chain to get some quest or event to happen).

Apparently combat stims (in this case, Jazz) cannot be applied to members with full health. At least that's what I'm experiencing in the Bloodline run.
